i don’t dislike anything it was fun to build like a lego set

I loved the fact that I could stain this wood and finish the entire project in 1 day. It was easy, but not so easy that I wasn't interested in doing it, which means a lot to me. I walk away from many little projects, this I really enjoyed.The wood isn't flimsy and was mostly pre-cut so I didn't break anything along the way. All parts are numbered, with a corresponding number on an easy to follow picture illustrated guide.I do plan to buy more of these, perfect rainy day project.

I enjoyed doing this fun little kit, although, like other reviewers here, I struggled to gently bend the sails enough for them to fit properly without shattering. My solution to this was to bring water to boil in an open pan and then hold the individual sail pieces in the steam (not the water), for 15 second intervals to make the wood more pliable. I used chopsticks to hold the pieces and save my fingers from scalding. It's important not to overdo the steaming because the pieces will begin to delaminate, so only do one to three 15 second intervals if possible, carefully bending the sail to fit between steaming times. .Glue was needed here and there on this kit to add stability and keep things together. I used tacky glue.The directions were in Chinese though the pictures were clear enough to do this kit. However I did dock it one star for not including English directions or possibly a link to an assembly video.

I've put this together for my fiancé. His birthday is tomorrow and I hope he loves it. It took me about an hour and a half. Some pieces are delicate but none broke into ugly splinters (there was a time but of splintering with a few pieces but nothing too badly) or even in half. This review is more like 4.5 stars and not 5, for that reason and the fact that the two #15 pieces (front railing on the triangle) won't stay on. The teeth don't fit tightly and I have to glue them on so that it's complete. I really appreciate that it comes with its own little stand, too.

My husband and I have a wonderful time putting this together, looks great on the bar.

The quality of the product wasn’t that great. The sails broke and were unable to be attached to the masts.

Bought as a gift for my teenage nephew. Loved and wants more! He isn't too gentle so I did buy wood glue, which he needed as he snapped a few pieces. Will be buying more for Xmas and for other nephews.
