Our son had been asking for a Optimus prime RC transformer. We got this and after my husband figured out the remote, this has been a fun toy for everyone!!

Didn’t work when I got it
I bought Bumble bee works great but I think that was from a different vendor. This Prime one I bought just didn’t work properly from the day. Got it. Won’t transform. It acts like it is confused by the remote

I disappointed my son by gifting this
The box received was already a opened gift so looks like someone’s return. Which I only realized once we started opening on Christmas Day today. My son was excited to receive this as he so wanted it and yet once I added battery it was clear this was a faulty unit. One of the accessory in truck was broken. My son was so disappointed on Christmas Day. So I don’t suggest you buy this for a particular occasion. You can try at your own risk if you get a new box or not.

Receive doesn't work right
We got this for my kid for his birthday and while it's a cool toy, the remote control doesn't work unless it's nearly touching the toy. So my 4 year old, while standing directly next to the thing, can't get the car to move. He has to squat down, hold the remote directly next to it, and then it works.I tried calling customer service about this, but I keep getting redirected to a voice-mail box that is full then auto disconnected.3 stars because it's a cool idea and seems pretty well made, but with a faulty receiver, it's just a less sturdy regular transformer.
