First, let me commend the manufacturer for providing the accessories and tool that came with this product. This made installation much easier.I was worried about the frame being too flimsy at first. That issue was resolved once the license plate was inserted into the frame and secured to the car. The frame is solid and will not budge once installed. This frame has been through numerous auto-washes and hand-washes without issue.I like that the bottom portion of the frame is thin enough to accommodate registration stickers with ease.

The frame is actually very attractive. It's a perfect size to give some heft without obscuring any text on the license plate (which you're not supposed to do). It's simple, elegant, and very functional. The frame attaches to the plate and to the car with two screws -- top only -- while the bottom of the plate securely attaches to the frame by a small metal lip on the inside, keeping the plate from rattling about.The MAJOR design flaw, however, is that the attractive screw caps are NON-REMOVABLE. Once you pop them in, the only way to remove them, according to the seller, is either "to cut the caps to get them off" or to "go to your local hardware store to ask for help." The caps give a nice finished look to the installation without being too bulky (and the seller says that using the caps somehow magically serves as an anti-theft device, "not designed to prevent the theft of license plate but to prevent the theft of car [sic]"), but I wish I had known that you can't remove them before I installed them. The next time I need to change my plates, I'll need to destroy the frame. While most people won't need to change license plates for a long time, my plates are temporary until my vanity plates arrive, so I'll soon have no choice but to ruin the frame.My suggestion if you like this frame is to install it WITHOUT using the supplied washers or caps, but instead to use separate black washers and possibly paint the screw heads black to match. It won't look as nice, but at least you'll be able to reuse the frame when you eventually change plates.

These do look very nice but they are a bit flimsy, not as strong as I was led to believe when I purchased them. They are very lightweight frames with a plastic feel to them even though they are metal. The box they arrived in stated they are aluminum, and in two different places here on the purchase page they say they are aluminum and also stainless steel,...who knows what they are made out of, I don't think they even know, lol.They did arrive nicely wrapped and protected from dents and dings in a small box with an instruction sheet and all necessary hardware. These look great on our new car, so much nicer than a chrome frame would have looked. Does not cover tags or any lettering on our California plates. The matte finish blends perfectly with black grill and window framing. Perfect finishing touch!

The frame itself is fine, but the covers for the screws are worthless. I tried to cover one of the screws, and the cover would fit very loosely (I can only imagine it would fall off immediately on the road). Tightening the screw down a bit more (not all the way) caused the plastic piece the cover goes into to be crushed under the tension of the screw. They literally fell apart without even tightening the screw all the way in, and obviously the cover didn't fit after the plastic receiving piece broke. I tried this on the other plate just to make sure it wasn't a fluke, but I had the same result. That being said, you can absolutely still use the frames with just the screws, which is what I did. They are simple, clean-looking black aluminum frames which is all I really wanted and expected from them (I just got tired of looking at the covers advertising the used car dealership where I bought my vehicle).

Changed my faded out frame from the dealer with this one. Easy to install, not bad quality for the money. Would purchase again.

Excellent product - exactly what they describe. Shows all areas of the plate fully including areas where date stickers are applied (where that is applicable) and provincial descriptions on both the top and bottom of the plate.I suggest the description emphasize that there are two tabs to hold the plate in firmly in the bottom of the frame. When standard screws with the vehicle are inserted in the top holes it becomes a sturdy single unit (I didn't use any of the ample fasteners provided) ... this is not clear in the description.

Bought this because I didn’t want to use the plate frames that came from the dealer. I wanted a very sleek cleaner look the frame is nice low profile and it has the covers for the bolt. I drive a SUV so it’s appropriate for that vehicle.

Should be only one cover!
