They look heavy and durable. They prevented the horrid burns that my BIL was getting on his bracing arm. They looked a little short out of the package but he says they fit just right and don’t restrict movement and have prevented the daily burns he was getting. He is very happy with them, and we would definitely buy again!

We bought this for protection in the yard, clearing thorny brush, etc. They do the job! We haven't had them long enough to comment on durability, but they seem well made. We got the "one size", which fits the extra large person in our household. I think that would work for most people, even with relatively large arms. My brother was impressed and we're ordering a pair for him for Christmas.

This item is comfortable and adjustable. Works great. I use it to protect my arms from my puppies. It is soft!

They are well made & provide good protection but are a little on the small side .

No more skin tears or bruising when trimming shrubs and rose bushes. Plenty thick to stop thorns from even wild multi-flora rose bushes. Best purchase of the year.

These are the first welding sleeves I've had, and I am really liking them! No need to wear an uncomfortably hot full jacket! The leather on these is plenty thick and will last longer than I will! The "one size fits most" size is actually better for smaller people. These are a bit too small for me... at least I don't have to use the velcro closures to tighten them up. You folks with big arms might want to opt for the larger size, or if you try the "one size fits most", check them out right away so you can return for the bigger ones if need be.

Just can’t understand all the negative comments about the sleeves not staying up. DUH---those black strips at the top are VELCRO (or similar) that are self fastening; all you have to do is pull them tight enough to keep the sleeve up. I have rather small arms, wore an oxford-cloth long sleeve shirt and had no problem…gotta work with things sometimes!As I’m on a blood thinner, extreme caution must be taken when working in mulch beds, shrubbery, etc. My 86-year-old skin is susceptible to anything sharper than a pencil eraser, hence my use of these sleeves. (Don’t know a thing about welding…does an arc welder weld arcs?) Cannot remember the last time I did yard work…weeding, pruning, etc., without having my arms looking like a bandage advert afterward.Really BIG surprise was comfort, especially how really cool my arms were. I sweat profusely and thought the sleeves would be completely soaked. But, even in the August heat of Florida, the coolest part of my body was…my forearms! Wish I could give a 6th star just for this feature!

Not as thick as more expensive ones but are plenty adequate for what they are meant to do
