Well made, will be perfect for the vacation I will be taking them on as they are casual but still dressy. Comfortable material. Fits well, true to size.

Perfect, with modifications
Off the bat, I have a question... if we're searching for trousers with drawstring waists, why are they all, without fail, elasticated? It's annoying. There's literally no need for elastic in the waist in drawstring trousers; the drawstring does the work of keeping the pants up. I'd have given five stars otherwise. Now that I've made my point, I can talk about these particular pants. They're lovely, and everything you want in a cotton/linen blend: breathable, light, comfortable. And that pesky elastic can be easily removed with a little ingenuity. It's tacked down in at least three places: twice at the side seams, and once at the rear seam. Simply take a seam ripper, get your best pair of magnifiers and some good lighting, and pick those tacking stitches out, being careful not to accidentally undo anything structural to the pants. Then, fish a loop of elastic out through one of the drawstring holes, cut the loop, grab an end, and pull it out. Tip: hold onto the drawstring itself so it doesn't slide out along with the elastic. On to the sizing: I'm a classic hourglass lady. Think Marilyn Monroe. Tig ol biddies, small waist, and full hips and thighs. Finding pants that fit both my waist and my hips is a challenge, hence the search for *true drawstring pants*--an hourglass silhouette's dream come true. I am 5'6" and an athletic 165 lbs, 39-30-42. I bought the XL size because I know cotton can shrink as much as 5%, and linen can even go as much as 10%, which is insane. I had no idea if these were preshrunk (and given the price, assumed not), so I wanted to err on the side of caution... I am an unfussy person and wanted to be able to wash and dry these pants with my regular laundry (cold wash, machine dry low heat). Having done so once, I can report that they did, indeed, shrink. They're noticeably shorter, but they were CRAZY long on me before washing - to the tune of at least 6 inches - but now, if I choose to hem them, I might only take 2 inches. Also, after shrinking, I still have lots of room through the hips... which makes me think I could have gone with size L. I'll still keep them, even though they're a touch big; but I do want to order in other colors and sizes, so I'll try an L next and see what happens.Appearance: just really nice-looking, summery pants! I love them. I bought them in white, and I was expecting lots of sheerness... but no, they're pretty good in that respect. All white things are going to have some amount of show-through, but these are probably the least sheer I've ever had. There are pockets, which I know some ladies think is awesome, but I am in the anti-pockets camp... wait, hear me out! When you have full hips like me, pockets can be unflattering. These aren't too bad; at least they're square. (Rounded pockets are THE WORST.) The added bulk can be minimized by giving them a good ironing... did I mention I'm unfussy? :o| However, in this instance, I'll make an exception, because ironed linen pants with just a touch of starch really looks sharp with a breezy, flowy top while having waterfront cocktails or a sunset walk on the boardwalk after dinner.Overall, I really do like them, and can recommend... and I do like that I was able to easily modify them.

super cute
I usually wear a women's size 10 jeans and so I tried size Large but they fit too big. They rise too high from crotch to waist, so I am going to try the medium size. Otherwise, super cute, nice material, color is exactly as pictured. Me likey!!!

Nope, Not For Me
Good waist fit & also nice that these don't have the super wide elastic. I'm short waisted so that is never comfortable. The fabric was fine, but they fit too full on my chubby bottom half. The green looked different than online also. Not far off, just not as nice.

Didn’t Shrink
I was very concerned about these pants shrinking after all the negative reviews I read and almost didn’t buy them but loved the look so decided to give them a chance. When I receive them and tried them on they fit perfect so I decided to go ahead with the washing test… I washed them in cold water on hand wash/delicate cycle with woolite, shook the pants out and hung them to dry and they actually grew a little longer so maybe that’s the trick. FYI I’m 5’7” 190 hourglass figure and XL fit perfect. I have a smaller waist so the elastic was very comfortable to me. I love them so much I’m going to order them in every color.

Lightweight and comfortable
I have purchased 3 pair; ordered my normal size and the fit is great. These are so lightweight and comfortable. During hot, humid summer days these felt cooler than shorts. These pants have a drawstring that is sewn into the pant seam, which means it will not come out by accident or by choice. If I could I would remove the drawstring but I understand why it is secured. The waist also has a wide elastic, which I find to be a little too wide. At some point I may open up the seams to remove the drawstring and replace with a slightly thinner elastic.I machine wash on the delicate cycle with cold water, hang dry, and iron on highest setting with steam.

Way too small
Upon opening, the material is very rough and not your typical linen fabric. I tried them on and they are quite small. If you do order, size up!

Gray and green are great, avoid black
I wear an XXL in this style. I am 5"4" and weigh 195 pounds. I am pear-shaped so I carry more weight in my bottom than top.I ordered six althogether: 2 gray, 1 green, and 3 black. I am a high school teacher, and my thermostat is set for the comfort of the students but it's too hot for me because I'm always on the move. I need long pants that are closer to summer or fall weight. I feel lucky that I found these. That being said, the sizing and feel are not consistent across the colors. The gray and green drape beautifully and are consistently comfortable. They feel like a great blend of cotton and linen. The black pants are a heavier, thicker material, and the waistband is larger. It sits below my belly button instead of above. The crotch depth is too low, part way down my thighs. Anything in my pockets pulls the waistband down to the point that it's in danger of dropping beneath my shirt hem. They are physically and psychologically uncomfortable; constantly worrying if my pants will droop makes me very self-consious. NOT a good idea when I'm around teenage boys all day!I returned the black. I don't want them in a smaller size, I like the drape of the other colors better. I returned the black pairs and will buy more gray and green. If it weren't for the problem with the black pants, I would give these 5 stars.
