I have 3 cats - 2 of them are massive jerks who would rather tear up a rug than use any of the expensive scratching pads or posts I've bought for them. So I got this primarily because it was cheap, looked nice, and fit the spot I needed it for. Turns out it's also fairly cat resistant! The 2 jerks have done their best to rip it to shreds the way they did with the last rug, but because of the way it's woven, there's 99.99% no signs of wear and tear. Just a couple of loose threads on the hem that are easily trimmed off. It's also cat puke resistant. Again....my cats are jerks. I know it's meant mostly for patios, but it works perfectly in my house. If you don't mind a flat rug that isn't at all soft or fluffy, and you need something durable, this is the rug for you.
