Alclad II Lacquers was formed in 1999 in England with the aim of providing modellers with a range of easy to use realistic Natural Metal Finishes. It has now become one of the preferred choices for Natural Metal Finishes by modellers around the world. This paint is suitable for: RC Lexan / Polycarbonate Bodies Car & Aircraft Model Kits Diecast Vehicles Buildings, Railroads, & Trains Figures Review: Excellent representation of metallic copper surface, applies like any other lacquer - I have tried three of Alclad's metallic lacquers: Aluminum, Stainless, and now Copper. All, which I applied according to directions, produced very good representations of a bare metallic surface. I applied these paints with an airbrush, without thinning. I'm working on brass railroad models, not plastic models, and lacquers are always my preferred paint formulas for this work. I doubt that Alclad's lacquers would be suitable for plastic models, so beware if that's your substrate. As with all lacquers, the solvents inherent in the paint makes it inappropriate for use by young folks, at least without direct supervision. Review: Amazing Paint! - super fun paint to use! dont need to thin it out, somes ready to use!

Goes on very well. Dries smooth.
I actually thinned it just a little bit, airbrushed it on and ended up with a smooth, even finish that is a perfect copper color. Some of the other paints I've used are too brown or too red and they are hard to get a smooth finish.
