Excellent textbook
I purchased this book as a requirement for a college credited course. This book covers many things to consider if you desire to start a business. Included are websites and online sources to help you navigate through your small business. Although I purchased for a required course and am not presently starting a business, I am keeping this book in the event things change for me in the future. I believe this book is beneficial to anyone in the small business market.

I've been an adult student for almost 5 years now… And this is the most valuable and relevant textbook I've had to date. This book is a keeper if you want to start a small business. The level of comprehensiveness and detail are unsurpassed.

It has some good information concerning small businesses
Some of the language is not layman termed so you really have to reread it to get some understanding. Overall, it is a good book, a little expensive, but if you are starting a business and desire to be an entrepreneur it will definitely help you.

Trendy and Vapid
This is a decent core text on many of the facets of starting a small business. That said, the book itself is full of (1) uncritically positive references to government agencies such as the Small Business Administration, and (2) social justice and environmental causes as welcome offshoots of the small business tree. The authors of the text even go so far as to dispatch Milton Friedman in ~8 lines on the bottom of page 40, “[W]e believe that entrepreneurs should adopt a broader view of their social responsibilities.”Throughout, the text itself cites predominately websites. It seems that doing more than clicking around on a web browser was too much research for these authors. This is an alright book. If you have to buy it for a course, you’ll learn things from it. But it would be a dark day for academia if there weren’t better ones out there.
