seems to work- just ordered my second three years later
I have just installed this in my MF4150 printer, I was a little skeptical about ordering it because the 'official' version is $90+ but so far, it is detected by the printer - toner level shows 'full' and print quality seems the same. I have no idea how long it will last (only about 20 pages printed so far) but I am ordering another to have on hand in case it does not last as long as the oem. But, for about 1/8 the cost, if it lasts half as long why not?**********updated 8/2016 I print a fair amount, (light home copy / print use) and I have no idea how many pages but I am just now getting the low toner message on the printer --- very surprised to look back at my order history and see that I originally purchased this in 2013 -- still printing clear so judging by some of the other reviews, I either got lucky or ???? who knows ---- just ordered another today, I have had a very good run with this one so ordering again. In my mind if I only got 1/2 of the 2000 rated pages its still a bargain at $10 - hope the next one lasts as long.

quality can vary by unit I've found
My first of these "compatible"(supplier) cartridges (i.e. knock off /refill) lasted a LONG time. I was able to go many pages past the "out of toner" warning and it produced a rich black. My 2nd cartridge (spare) that I just put in my printer "works" - no spots or smears, however I'm missing those rich blacks / dmax of ink density, whatever you want to call it that I used to get. Maybe after printing more pages it will get better. In any event, what I get now is "acceptable" - just not gorgeous. However at this price I can't complain. I'm getting almost a year out of each cartridge in my moderate / home use scenario.

Comparable in all ways to the higher priced cartridges
I bought this cartridge in Feb. 2011 as an experiment to see if the no-name cartridge worked as well as the Canon cartridge, which retails at $94 and promises 2,000 pages of printing. After I installed the cartridge, I began tracking my printing, noting every time I opened a new 500-sheet package of paper. This week I opened my fifth foo-sheet package of paper, meaning I'd printed 2,000 high quality pages with this no-name cartridge. And the next day, for the first time, the printing deteriorated a bit, indicating that the cartridge is coming to the end of its life. I took the cartridge out, shook it gently to redistribute the toner, and reinstalled it. The printing is again back to normal -- crisp and clear. The only drawback I see with the no-name cartridge is that my purchase didn't include a mailer for recycling the cartridge. However, that's easily solved: From now on I'll "donate" my used cartridges to the local Rapid Refill store, which charges $56.75 for their rip-off refill.

So far, perfect!
This toner cartridge functioned right out of the box as good as the original Canon toner. Sometimes these bargain cartridges are only partially filled, and do not approach the number of pages that the OEM brands do (except for the starter cartridge, of course, which is only partially filled).Update: This toner cartridge gave perfect copies right up to the end, when my printer said "Toner Empty." That's surprising as toner cartridges almost always fade in printing jobs toward the end. You can get one to three dozen extra copies out of a cartridge by shaking and reinstalling. This cartridge did seem to run empty much faster than Canon OEM cartridges. It would be interesting to weigh one of these generic cartridges and compare the weight to a Canon cartridge. But I don't have an extra Canon cartridge on hand to check this.

Better than more expensive 'no name' toners
Just received this and popped it in the printer. I have a Canon MF4150 and first of all, it fits correctly. That's the first plus. Second, I printed 25 envelopes (in a row! wow!) and no blinking red light telling me the machine is magically low on toner after installing a new one. I ordered a 2pk of compatible toner for this machine about 2 weeks ago and they didn't fit. After rigging them up to where they could be forcefully put in and taken out, I printed something like 10 or 15 pages of a manual... Needless to say I wont be purchasing those again. SO far though, this toner has exceeded my initial expectations. I'm going to give it a workout today and report back. Before I forget, this toner also doesn't stink when you print more than 2 pages... I may be in love.

imageclass D420 toner cartridge defective
I bought 3 of these imageclassD420 cartridges to take advantage of free shipping. First one worked great - second didn't work at all - all black copies. 3rd work fine. Of course by the time you use 1 the guarantee time has run out and you have to pay shipping and only get partial refund so not worth the effort to return. Didn't save anything buying 3 and now very out of ink and no back up. Have to buy more but will have to try another seller. Can't seem to contract INK4WORK to see if they would fix problem

not bad but not great
I only got about 1200 pages out of this cartridge which was supposed to last 2000. That's not very good since the original "starter cartridge" that came with the printer is only supposed to last 1000 gave me over 1500 so I know my typical page is not too dense. I tried to contact seller and didn't get an answer. The toner also had trouble sticking to labels but this may be a problem with the labels rather than the toner, but I don't remember having the problem with the original cartridge. For the price, not bad, but certainly not top quality.
