I really want to give this a 5 star rating because it is actually perfect in my space. However, the lamp arrived with a broken lever. To Nautical Mart's credit, they were responsive to resolve the problem pretty quickly. There were no instructions but pretty intuitive on how to use the screws and levers to set it up. The legs are adjustable, and the head can rotate so it is flexible. It has a very authentic nautical searchlight design function which is great and could have been much more expensive from other places I have seen. The lamp is a really pretty chrome and black which complements my aesthetic for the study perfectly. As others have said, the light is not going to illuminate a large room. However it is a perfect reading light and subtle room light for us. Overall, very happy with the look, price and function for our needs.

This lamp gets tons of compliments and just looks cool. I added a TP-link color bulb in it and have it change colors or just use it as a spot light. It was packaged ok but did leave a little concern for some damage since the box looked roughed up but the lamp made it all in one piece. Shipping was quick and it took less than 10mins to put it together. Just a few large screws and its up and running. No bulb but that was to be expected. The legs lengthen in two spots so the height is easily adjusted. I gave it inside a quick wipe down and it shines well enough. The blades in the front are a bit flimsy.....this is not a real function movie/director/production lamp, it is just for esthetics. Like I said the blades move up and down on the inside but seem a bit fragile. All in all a really cool looking lamp and great conversation piece. Everyone loves it, I love it. Grab one while you can!

The photos on the sellers site don't do this light justice. I thought it would be much smaller than it actually is. This light is amazing! It arrived quickly and on time( Thank you DHL) and packaged well in two boxes. One box has the tripod and the other has the light and mounting bracket. Assembly of the light on the tripod was simple after I realized that there was in fact a bracket. It didn't come with a bulb but I don't recall the ad stating there was one. This is an amazing buy. I can't stop looking at it.

Ordered 4 of these lights and they arrived within a week. I was a little concerned based on the negative reviews about receiving a damaged product but they all arrived in perfect condition, in spite of traveling from India to Germany to Cincinnati in 1 day. Yes, they are a bit flimsy-feeling and yes they do not come with assembly instructions, but they are fantastic looking, acceptably sturdy, and putting them together was simple. Our fancy LED Edison bulbs worked with them, but the movable louvered shutters would brush the bulb so we put a lower profile LED in instead. I was glad to find the cord has a rocker switch for easy on/off, too.

When I received this light it was covered with a dirty oily film and fingerprints. That was a little disappointing and slightly creepy. I'm not sure what that was about but for that it lost one star. Also it is a polished type finish but certainly is not "Chrome" as described. That was a let down so it lost another star for that. Overall it's a nice light and looks good in my living room.

I remember seeing similar lamps years ago for $1,000. This lamp is so much less and for the price, it’s pretty nice.The chrome plating looks good. I couldn’t find any problems. The working shutter is a little flimsy but overall the lamp has a great look.There is a switch in the cord but I plugged it into a dimming controller so I can make it bright for reading a book, or dim just for effect.I’m very pleased with it.

Wow! Super fast shipping from India! The package arrived well packed and only took a few minutes to assemble. Great quality! I’ve been eyeing this for years at Crate and Barrel, but I couldn’t justify their $1000 price tag. This lamp exceeded my expectations. Like others, I installed a smart bulb to change colors and dim the light on command. 😊

This lamp was very quick to assemble, sturdy & surprisingly inexpensive for the quality of the item - a veryyy well made, eye catching lamp that looks like a true heirloom addition to my living room which I have already received many compliments on since I have displayedit in my home - I'm very very happy with my purchase!!!

This lamp is AMAZING! Exceeded all our expectations. The quality is great, it's very well made and it looks very stylish in our new place. It was super easy to put together it just comes in 2 parts. It got here very quickly too, I was expecting the delivery to take ages but it barely took 3 days. I did loads of browsing through countless websites and looked at dozens of similar lamps and this was by far the most beautiful one. I was not wrong. Would definitely recommend.

After looking for tripod lights on the web, I saw a review of this exact product on YouTube. After seeing how looked and how easy it was to assemble I brought it. This is a very hight quality floor spotlight.The packaging was very good and the DHL delivery was very quick. A delightful addition to my apartment.

Beware it has sharp pins on feet I assume to grip carpet but will scratch wooden floors. The chrome plating is extremely thin and is already flaking off. It looks ok but don't muck about with it. Set it up and leave alone to avoid scratching or damaging the poor plating.

It’s all squinty. The slats sit diagonally. It’s a shame because for the money this would’ve otherwise represented really good value. I’ve managed to adjust the legs and angle to hide this a bit and am keeping it nevertheless.
