Every Little Thing: Based on the song 'Three Little Birds' by Bob Marley

Been a fan of Bob Marley since I was a teenager. When I saw this book I knew I had to get it. The artwork is beautiful and the song was adapted well for a children's book. All three of my kids love it but especially the 1.5 year old! He sings along with me and dances when I sing. His absolute favorite book. I love that Bob Marley's daughter was the one to adapt the book, so sweet.

Will buy this book over and over!

The text of this book is fun and child-friendly, with a rhythm and message that my toddlers enjoy. It does a great job showing a variety of emotions and feelings as normal and part of a regular day, and of course there's the natural appeal if you like the original song. The illustrations are a true highlight of this book, though — the mixed media is great, and I love the representation of the child's parents, who seem like interesting people in their own right. The quality of the book I received from Amazon is more like 3 stars, with wear around the edges, a noticeable gouge and scratch on the cover, and some minor warping of the pages so it doesn't lay completely flat. Not a big deal in my household since my kids are hard on books, but I wouldn't be willing to give this as a gift, and it reminds me why it's usually worth the extra 75 cents to buy board books from our local bookstore or directly from the publisher.

I already knew this book from the song/reading of it that can be found online, so you can check it out before purchasing. Lyrics and melody are a bit difficult for my toddler niece but I gave it as a gift along with the One Love book, which is easier for her, and it makes a great pair!

This so g is our three year olds favorite, so we purchased the book as an expansion on that passion. It’s very sweet and adds a few verses if you will to the original song. The illustrations are vibrant and fun. Overall we are happy to have it in our library. But nothing compares to the original music.

My kids adored this book when they were little, and I love giving it out as an extra gift at baby showers. This is an absolute must for any child’s home library.

Beautiful illustrations. Teaches inclusion, acceptance, and diversity. Powerful message. Will use this in a kindergarten classroom.

Se lo regalamos a mi peque a los 21meses y le encantó. Pedía cantar el libro cada noche para dormir. 6 meses después seguimos y ahora empieza a cantar él mismo la canción! 🥰 A parte, la adaptación de la letra, el mensaje y las ilustraciones son preciosas.

Les dessins sont joyeux, mais le texte a été modifié pour servir les illustrations, ça me déçoit, j'aime ce genre d'album qui permet d'illustrer une chanson, mais ici on y retrouvera que le refrain et quelques phrases de texte... Je ne prendrais pas One love, comme projeté au départ...

Tolle Illustrationen. Schöne Umsetzung mit Texten und Bildern. Ich habe das Buch als Geschenk zu einer bevorstehenden Geburt einer Freundin bestellt. Die kleine Maus kann ja ruhig von Beginn an in das Musik Genre und die Lebenseinstellung eingeführt werden :-)
