Still Loving It (1 year update)
I plan to update this review after a year of using this kettle but so far I love it!I was looking for a gooseneck kettle that I could travel with and use wherever I go, especially to make coffee in my Chemex or AeroPress. Having a gooseneck kettle makes ALL the difference when making pour-over coffee because it gives you complete control of pouring rate and direction, and prevents the water from dripping down the spout (which is likely to happen with any other type of kettle). This one seemed to have some of the most consistent and good reviews so I went ahead and purchased this and have been using it for a few weeks now.- What I love about this kettle is that if you travel and you want to make your own coffee in a Chemex or AeroPress (which I use both depending on my mood), you don't have to worry about where to heat your water. And compared to other electric heating gooseneck kettles, this one has a smaller, less bulky base under which the cord wraps around, making it easy to pack and bring with you.- Having the thermometer turned out to be a lot more useful than I thought. When using my AeroPress I can turn off the kettle once it reaches the first green area (165-170). When using the Chemex I let it heat all the way to 210. And this kettle shuts off on it's own once the water reaches that temperature, so I don't have to worry about keeping an eye on it.- The rate of heating water of this kettle is definitely faster than using a conventional kettle on an electric stove-top (which makes this a better option for water heating even when using it at home) but I have used other brands of electric-heating (non-gooseneck) kettles that heat water faster. I don't have a fire gas stove so I'm not sure if that works faster. The only thing to consider is that you can't use this kettle on your stove-top. It has to go on the electric base that it comes with.- This last part is personal preference, but the design is simple but nice, and I can display this openly in my kitchen without worrying about it being an eyesore. So far I'm loving it. I would absolutely recommend it for the job it's designed to do. I will update this review after a year to see how it's holding up.Update (after 1 year):I'm updating my review after using this kettle for over a year and trying out a few other brands of gooseneck kettles. My five star review holds firm after a year of using and comparing it to other models. For this price I think this kettle outperforms many other kettles in this category, and even performs better than some of the more expensive ones. Sure, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles as some more expensive ones do but what its designed to do, it does very well. The thermometer has come in handy so much more than I expected. As long as I let the water boil to the coffee indicated temperature I get a good solid cup of coffee with low to no acidity and great flavor.I use this at home and bring it into the office with me and it's very easy to transport. I have not experienced any leaking (which I did with a couple of other kettles). Another thing I experienced with other brands was dripping down the gooseneck when trying to pour small amounts at a time to bloom the coffee. I did not experience any dripping with this kettle.I like this kettle so much, in fact, that I just went ahead and bought myself a backup to keep in the office.Final verdict, after a year: Love it and, for this price, I highly recommend.

Great stainless gooseneck kettle by Cozyna
I've used this Cozyna Gooseneck Kettle about 10 times a day since it arrived to heat water for tea & coffee but also to add boiling hot water in the sink when washing dishes & to help sanitize the cats' food dishes before washing with soap. It's been great, heats quickly, pours a nice narrow stream of water, easily directed to where I want it to go. It's a good size, not too big or small & looks nice on the kitchen counter, doesn't take up too much room. Comes with a thermometer that I'm not currently using. But I did cut & keep the list of temperatures recommended to properly prepare different types of teas & coffee that was printed on the side of the box. It's completely stainless inside with only a very small (maybe 1" x 1/2") piece of plastic inside that's attached to the handle & is just inside the rim where the lid clicks in. When I fill the kettle, I don't add so much water that it covers this piece of plastic. If I did, water would overflow out the top when boiling. So I'm not concerned about having that little bit of plastic inside. The lid comes off completely which I think is a plus. I read many reviews for other stainless kettles, some much more expensive, that have a button to pop the lid open but seems the button can wear out after a while & then you either can't open it, or close it properly. All in all, I'm happy with it & recommend it.

Useless toy.
I'm returning it without trying to put in water. Opening a box, I've seen that it was already opened before and a kettle had small water smears inside and outside. I'm sure I'm not the first one to return it. In general: it is very poorly made. It is not only very lightweight, like a tin toy, but also is very unstable on the base.A base itself is very thin and lightweight plastic plate. This kettle is very loosely fit on the round protrusion that connects it to electricity. In addition, a cord is very short and hard, and retains coiled shape after you unwind it from under a base. Was very difficult to squeeze it in a groove on the base, and coming out of this groove it lifted light base for a little bit. If you add it to the loose fit of a kettle on a base, you will have an electric device that supposed to have water standing slightly uneven. I'm not taking risk of having water and electricity mixed in the unstable device. Will not take a chance of another kettle of this type. I guess, I’ll better stick to a traditional model that is sturdy on its foundation.

Works well
I like this little kettle and it's attractive enough to leave out on the counter. Heats water pretty quickly and I love that it has the thermometer. Two things I dislike is that it will boil over if it's filled to "max fill" line and I wish it came in a larger size. To make a full pot using an 8-cup Chemex coffee carafe, I need more water than this can hold so end up needing to make two batches of hot water, which is kind of a pain. I just couldn't find an appropriate gooseneck kettle with a thermometer in a larger size. And to keep it from boiling over, fill it to one inch below the max fill line and you won't have a mess. If you don't need larger quantities of water, this is a great option tho.
