Outstanding! Almost Immediately Corrected Training Issues! BUT.... Use with Caution!
Well made, looks great and is absolutely 100% effective. I purchased from the recommendation of my Doberman's professional trainer.*** Note: I also learned to properly fit the collar and properly use it from the same trainer. It is easy to over correct or use too much force with this product which is not great for the dog OR their trust in your relationship with them. I highly recommend this product, however, I also suggest to PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH and consult with a professional if possible.

This collar is wonderful.
This collar is wonderful.I made the mistake of starting my Rottweiler puppy in a harness, something I'd not done w/ previous dogs. Not surprisingly all it did was teach him to pull (Rotties have been used to pull carts for decades). Not wanting to resort to a choke chain I tried various so-called "no-pull" harnesses until he was 9 months old and about 75 pounds. While he heals nicely most of the time, when he was determined to follow his nose or meet a person he took a shine to I had little to no control over him.I found some videos by a respected trainer on how to fit and use prong collars and got one from a different manufacturer. It worked fairly well until one day my pup darted toward a mail box and suddenly bits of steel were flying thru' the air - the collar came apart and my puppy was loose! Luckily he stayed right by me and I made a slip-lead out of his leash and we went home. As soon as we got there I came on line and bought this collar, which I'd considered the first time but went w/ one less expensive. You really do get what you pay for.Now when Jake tries to pull one slight tug from me is all it takes to bring him back to heal. If he's determined to meet someone on the other side of the street (he's so friendly he's a pest) he corrects himself most of the time and when he doesn't, again it's just a few quick tugs and we're back on track. I have Menier's Disease and some nerve & ligament damage in both hands, so can guarantee you that this collar requires no strength, it leaves no mark and given how excited Jake is when he sees it I'm confident it doesn't inflict any pain. I'd recommend it to any dog owner IF you take the time to learn how to fit and use a prong or pinch collar.

collar is nice and sturdy works for us
Let's start with some history of training tools I have tried previously. I have 2 dogs ( one in photo 3 year old doesn't pull very much and a 6 year old pitbull that gets anxious out of the house. He pulls so hard he has dislocated my shoulder in the past. I have tried many tools to try and train myself and him to walk within reason by me. We have used the other prong collar, an e collar, a slip lead, harnesses, leashes, walking traffic leads etc. You name it over probably tried it. Nothing really ever gets his attention enough and he seems to yank and pull as hard as he can the moment the door opens. I have also tried treat training, clicker training, etc. He listens great inside but the second we go out to walk he wants to race. ( he'd make a great sleigh dog if you never wanted to stop) This collar seems to be built pretty securely. It's metal rings and links are very sturdy and hard to bend. It was pretty difficult to size the collar at first. I had to take pliers to it and separate the links a bit in order to get them off. I have found that when threading the chain through the link on the other side to kinda be a pain. My dogs not to keen of the sound of the chain so he starts to get nervous and move about making that a bit harder in my case. I try to make this process positive with him but something about the sound he doesn't care for. After I'm able to thread it through I struggle a bit with the carabiner. The locking part slides around so it makes it a little harder to clip ( make sure you turn the bead and it actually secures it. I have used many prong collars and have noticed I struggle most with this design. Once you get it on I feel it is quite secure. I did have the screw carabiner unlock twice on our first walk though. (Bead part didn't stay) As far as easy to use I would give that a 3 star rating. I don't really care for the way the carabiner is for the reasons stated. When you use the collar it moves to one side at the chain which isn't really an issue. The lock doesn't stay secure but I have not had the carabiner open on its own yet. So it stays intact around his neck. I do really like the design of this collar (links) verse the other prong collars although one link in my collar seems to move slightly and get stuck sticking out so I had to keep turning it throughout our walk (2 times)( keep in mind this was in the adjusting process on first walk .I believe now that I removed another link this shouldn't occur as it was not sized correctly at that time) Side note If you have multiple dogs like I do you will most likely want a different collar for each dog due to the process of removing links. It took about ten minutes for me to get it sized properly. Overall I think this collar would benefit from a better carabiner design or possibly removing that feature and replacing it with a different locking mechanism. I do love that this design is flat, well made and I feel it is more secure then other training collars. I used to use two leashes (second collar or a slip lead as my dogs broken 2dlinks in other collars do to pulling) and have a back up when using other prongs and I don't feel the need to do that with this one. I don't foresee this one opening up like others either. Never leave this on your dog when you're not training them. There is no way a dog could get out of the collar if they were to get stuck. It takes a extra minute to release and remove it once it's secure so always be extremely careful. As far as value, this collar should last a life time. It's well made, very sturdy and as long as the carabiner doesn't give out its worth it. I do foresee that being the weakest link within this design and for that reason I rated this 4 stars overall. I would like to see the quality of carabiner improve. With all of that said... my dog responds better to this collar then others. He still slightly tugs but it doesn't hurt me anymore. My shoulders are intact and walks seem more peaceful. I hate that I have to use a collar like this on him but it's the only way I can walk him without being dragged around like a rag doll down the street. It does jingle when you walk a bit due to being a chain... I'll update after we use it for awhile. If my review has been helpful please click a thumbs up 👍

Great Collar
If this collar got lost, I'd replace it immediately. Positives are security (when sized correctly) quality, and I think its corrective action is a little less pokey than a traditional prong would be, if that's a concern. Also I haven't noticed any dirty looks, and I live in the city so lots of people see me with my dog every day. This is a serious collar though, so if you're the type to appreciate nicely constructed things and will invest the time and effort required to use it correctly, then you will enjoy this and reap all the benefits. It just screams quality. It take a minute to put it on and a few days before you get good at it, so be prepared for that. Once you learn to trap the back of the small link between your thumb and forefinger so you can poke it through the plate and snag it easily with the carabiner, then you'll be good. If that sentence scares you then don't buy this. It's really important that this collar is sized correctly and put on the dog correctly, otherwise it's not going to work right. The idea is that when there's leash tension, the circumference shrinks and the teeth engage...but the more important action is that when the tension is released, it gets larger and disengages, and in order for that to work, it has to be put on correctly. Also, IMHO if this is sized correctly there's no way it's falling apart and coming off your dog.
