Great for little kids!
I now have two of these piggy banks for each of my children. One in pink, one in white. They are wonderful!! They can count their own money by dumping out their banks, zeroing them out with the black button, and loading their money back in through the slot. I haven't tried $1 coins, but I'm sure it would be able to tell the difference.

Kids like but not accurate
It's cute and my kids like it. For the price it is okay. It doesn't keep accurate count of change. You have to be very careful that you put change into it in a quick motion. If you don't it will throw the count off. If your kid shakes it again the count will be thrown off. But, for the price I don't really have much room to complain. So I'm giving it the 3 star "okay" instead of 1 star.

Cheap plastic not accurate
I'm very disappointed with the item the coin counter is not accurate and the worst part is its so cheaply made the top part doesn't stay on when screwed into the bottom part it feels like the threads are stripped and can't carry the bank from the top or the bottom pops off and drops your change everywhere.

Perfect piggy bank for a toddler
We love this piggy bank for our toddler. She is able to manipulate it on her own and it's shatterproof!

My 5 year old is obsessed with this. Putting the coins into the slot is a bit tough-you have to press down really formally, but she got the hang of it. Very sturdy also. She has dropped it at least a dozen times since she likes to carry it around with her.

We now have three of these for our children. Their ages are 4, 7, and 9. We used a label maker to put their names on them and our kids love them. My youngest asks me how much money she has and now I can tell her without having to count it out or tell her I'm not sure. I would recommend this to anyone. If I liked pigs more I would have one for myself as well.

Cute...BUT NOT accurate AND NOT well constructed
This piggy bank is cute, however, it is not accurate and the pigs head comes apart very easily. My 3-yr old niece loved it, so unfortunately, I cannot return it. Please do not waste your money on this item. Buy something that is accurate and better constructed.

It was the best option... at the time
We use this with our child. The coin insert slot was a little tight but is loosening up. I now hope it won't get too loose. The digital screen on our's is really hard to read. I changed the batteries out, but it still is that way. The upside to this bank is it is cute, you can see the money in the bottom, and it is more durable than a glass or ceramic bank. Our 2 year old loves it (yes I pay my child for good behaviors like picking up and using the potty..... judge me all you want but my kid picks up her toys and is closing in on that completely potty trained life).
