This book is a very helpful manual for training a German Shepherd specifically. Being mindful of the characteristics of the breed makes training easier. The book is simply but clearly written and thusclear. The illustrations of the hand signals accompaning the text were especially useful

Started out well, discussing German Shepherd dogs, but lapsed into Black Labradors. Not what I expected from a book entitled "Training book for German shepherd dogs and German shepherd puppies ".

This is not a bad book, it does focus on being the alpha which some people can misunderstand, but it is an easy concise read that would be good for young people and teens who are wanting to learn how to train their German Shepherd. The training and focus could be applied to any breed of dog.
