Always wanted one, nobody uses anymore.
Works great but found out I was behind the times. Took on road trip, everyone uses cellphones now. Basically dead air.

It's tuned to the CB band
But so is a dummy load.Hooked it up to a meter and its at 1.0:1 swr around channel 21. I'm not expecting miracles with this thing. I mean it's a 19" whip when a full quarter wave would be 8.5 feet. Can talk to my pops on it who lives about 3 blocks away, that's all that matters. Got this for when we talk road trips with them we can have some comms. Keep telling him to get his ham ticket but he's CB for life. I'm sure on flat, wide open, highway/terrain this thing will go a couple miles.Again, this is a compromise antenna so don't expect much. End of the day it gets my kid on the air for some fun on road trips. I'd prob be better off buying a larsen nmo27 and screw it on to the car, but i have enough antennas going already. I like how this one kind of blends in and looks OEM in a way.

One of the best compact antennas I’ve ever used and doesn’t look bad on new vehicles.
First Off let me say I’m very impressed with this little lantana most of the time the small antennas are next to worthless but this one is actually doing a great job I’m having no problems talking 16 miles with a 15 W radio that was very impressive. I bought this to go in my car that I drive back-and-forth to work mainly for listening and the weather it seems to give about the same performance has a little will Wilson. The coax Needs to be about 5 foot longer but other than that no complaints. Keep in mind this is not going to give the performance of a full-size antenna but it does do it really good job for its size. Keep in mind this is a small short antenna With small coax for easy routing so it’s going to be a low power antenna. I don’t think I would hook a high powered radio over 60 or 70 Watts to this thing. Although I would like to know what the power handling is on this antenna.

Looks great but not much range
What a great antenna. I love the New Yorker. I have it on my 09 Land Rover LR3 and it blends right in. If range is what you are looking for then this is not for you but if you are looking for an antenna to blend in, eastly to install, with approximately 3 miles range, then it is for you. It is easy to mount with a strong magnetic base and with the small diameter wiring it makes it easy to run and hide it. It almost has a factory look. I have it paired with a Midland 75-822 and love the combination.

Fine for a Car but the mast blows back
It works with a peeked and tuned cobra 29 LX with 10 watts but only 1/2 to one mile. Fine for a 2018 Taurus but the mast keeps blowing backwards to 45 degrees rather than staying straight up.

Works great and looks good too!
I put one on my car and it works great and it looks good too, so I got a second one for my wife's mini-van. She really likes it. No SWR adj. but no need I get a 1.1:1, Simple with very good range. The mag holds better than any other that I have had, two hands to get it off. Good deal and I hope this helps.

It works well
I was looking for a somewhat sleek cb antenna for our conversion van. Most van is made up of some type of composite and no metal. Although I was hoping the antenna had more variation on the angles, it was able to be mounted on the hood and not so obviously a cb antenna. The antenna itself works well.

Sleek little antenna. Not the antenna you want for distance
SWR is 1.0 from channel 1 through 25 which is excellent. But it immediately climbs up and the SWR goes to 2.0 at channel 40. The only adjustment you have is relocating the antenna. You cannot adjust the antenna itself
