I bought a women's L/XL. I wear a 9.5 shoe and have medium ankles. The most important thing I like about the brace is that it works. It does raise up my foot and keeps me from stumbling. I am not as afraid of falling as I was. It is also easy to put on, adheres well to itself and the hooking is easy to do. I had to put a knot in the elastic cord to shorten it, which was easy to do. I Iwish it came in a light flesh color, also.. For women, that would be less noticeable when wearing a skirt.

I have purchased a few different types of foot drop braces. They all have some benefit, but none have been completely satisfactory. When I first tried this one, it definitely helped with my left-foot drop, but as many have pointed out, the laces on my tennis shoe would always stretch and benefit would be reduced.However, after thinking about this for a while, I decided to try something new. I took some short cable ties and passed them through the 2 sets of eyelets closest to the toe of the shoe, side to side. I tightened them until each formed a small loop, and cut off the excess, leaving just the loop. This does not stretch! It works very well for me. If you have a problem with the laces stretching, this might be a very simple solution. Good luck.

Worked for about 8000 steps, but broke on the third day. I will be returning it. The elastic pulled out of the plastic.

This is the second brace that I've order because this one is so superior to others like this that I have purchased in the past. First, it comes in a small/medium size which fits a woman's ankle so much better that the one-size-fits-all version. Second, using plastic hooks to attach it to your shoe laces is far more secure than using a velcro hook. On my previous braces the velcro eventually gave out over time and rendered them useless.

Works fairly well, using this twice a week. But the elastic lines broke after 2 years.

My mother-in-law was diagnosed with drop foot after a trip and fall. She felt instantly stable, walking the streets of NYC, after putting this brace on.When my 90 year old mother then complained about her foot, dragging, she borrowed my mother-in-law‘s brace and instantly felt secure – so we ordered one for her too. She would not stop commenting on how stable and secure she felt when walking – even though she uses a cane. She was able to put the brace on herself. Highly recommend!

This brace is very helpful for my husband’s drop foot. One of the straps broke, but the company sent us a new one right away and we haven’t had a problem since.
