After 30+ years in the business world, I have finally found the perfect notebook! It looks great, is the perfect size, paper is high quality and takes ballpoint, gel and pencil equally well. I hesitated the first time as it s a little pricey but now I reorder one of these every 9 months. I gave a few as Christmas gifts to colleagues last year and they love them.

I use these for my annual journal/daily journal. They cost a little more but they really are worth it.

I have purchased over 20 Gallery Leather Desk Journals over the last 5 years. They are quality. I carry one in my bag around town everyday. The leather is worth the little extra cost. I have spilled coffee and tears on many pages and strangely they become functional again after a short dry.

Overall, this is a fine journal. I received it quickly, and it is perfect size for writing for extended periods of time. The paper is heavy enough to make writing with a fountain pen enjoyable, but it does have a tendency to feather depending the ink that is used. I've had good results using Noodlers Bay state Blue, as well as Noodlers Air Corps Blue-Black. The binding, as well as the cover are well made and quite durable. It survived surprisingly we'll when tested by the curiosity of a three year old! I'll definitely be purchasing more!
