I just received 2 of these chairs. Assembly took 14 minutes each - very reasonable and achievable. I used pliers to work with the provided allen wrench (which saved time and my thumbs). The chairs are sturdy and good looking. I got the coveted "wow" response from friends. They stack well. Too early to tell how well they hold up, but I see no reason why they won't be great for as long as expected. Thinking of ordering 2 more....

I don't see a humanly possible way to get those plastic rings on both sides of the seat. Once you put in one, there's no room on the other to put it over the screw, VERY frustrating and now missing that piece. Also, the screws there should be flatheads. The first one I put in went up and split the wood behind the seat. A real disappointment after getting the bench and having that go together so easily.

Hubby and I read the reviews and had concerns but threw caution to the wind and are glad that we did. We ordered 4 chairs and the chairs are lovely to look at, comfortable to sit in, easy to assemble. There were a few minor flaws on the wood - the slings are all perfect. The wood flaws were easy to remedy. In our household we have a 6 month rule - will the issue really be noticeable or memorable in 6 months? HOWEVER, please be aware that linseed oily rags will spontaneously combust if not properly managed and the linseed oil can does not identify ' proper disposal' of the rags. We had a fire start in hubby's garage from the linseed oily rags - yes, we are still married!

Be cautious and warned. I ordered four of these chairs. One came a week before the other three and the "brown" was about 4 shades lighter. Amazon agreed to replace that one so it's yet to be seen if it will match. All of the chairs came with horrible scratches all over the wood. Granted they'll get scratched when used outside for a period of time, but if I buy a "new" chair.... I want to be the one to put the scratches in. The chairs seemed to be very solid when I finally got them together, a real struggle as it seems 50% of the holes were about 1/8 inch off. Not impossible to get together, but you'll need some muscle to "stretch" and "bend" the wood to get the holes to match up. After all this hassle the chairs are very good looking and very solid but I doubt I'd recommend them due to the condition they arrived.

These are perfect for the eucalyptus table we purchased for our deck. They are very sturdy and comfortable.They were easy to put together.

I've had these chairs since 2012 and they were wonderful for the first four year, when the wood began to split and the fasteners started to fail. I used the linseed oil as recommended and they were stored indoors during the winter. They really are beautiful chairs and maybe I'm expecting too much for them to last longer than they have.

Ordered two of the chairs - nice quality. Had an issue with a blemish in one of the arms and the company quickly addressed the issue and is sending me a replacement arm. Assembly instructions for the chairs could be a bit clearer. It's important where the plastic washers get placed. Also ordered the round folding table. It came assembled and ready to go. Applied a coating of Linseed oil since these will be in a sunny location all summer long.
