GM Genuine Parts 15-1739 Air Conditioning Accumulator

This was a direct fit for my 96 C1500 even though the information doesn’t say it doe’s

I installed this with a condenser and new line and ac works great

Exelente remplazo, funciona muy bien, tengo tiempo usándolo y está todo bien.

I had a difficult to detect leak in the AC system and knew I would have to replace the accumulator once the leak was solved, so I bought this item in anticipation. By the time I found and corrected the leak, then replaced the accumulator, the return window had passed. One plug sealing the accumulator was backed a few turns so that the o-ring wasn't pressed flush onto the opening. Fortunately, the package had remained inside my house so I'm confident it was still good.

I replaced my compressor accumulator orifice tube high pressure sensor low pressure sensor and a new sensor for the back of the compressor new GM Schrader valve and service port/ high side fitting you will need a special socket to change the high side service port. Emptied out the old accumulator into a measuring cup I used my two cycle mixing cup as it gives fluid ounces, added what came out of the old accumulator to the new accumulator. With new peg 150 ACDelco refrigerant oil, Dumped out the refrigerant oil in the new compressor it measured 4 oz replaced refrigerant oil with ACDelco pag 150 oil I did this twice with my 97 Chevy Dually and my 99 Chevy Tahoe both systems work perfectly Ice Cold Air again !!

Says it won't fit my truck but it's the right part number all the part stores give me. Bought from napa originally and side by side are identical same marking and caps decided to go in deeper and ordered everything off Amazon instead and went original came with o rings and 2 stickers to choose from depending on what you have pics for reference napa seems to be the exact same part minus stickers both made in China as well so im sure same part from same place

I have work as a mechanic for over 30 years on automobiles. Many people are quick to look at aftermarket part before OEM because of the cost. My experience over the years validates that OEM consistently out performs aftermarket parts, and the cost is closely aligned with aftermarket. I highly recommend OEM in all repairs. When installing the lines, I recommend anti-seize compound as the evaporator lines are steel and will adhere to the aluminum fittings over time.
