Joey Lawrence's Ethiopia is a masterpiece. The book is organized by region in Ethiopia. The photos are beautifully done--beautifully lit, captured, and edited. Some of the photos stopped me in my tracks. The photos are a mix of posed and candid photos, group and individual photos. Beautiful book that reflects Joey's skills as a photographer.

I’ve been a fan of Joey Lawrence for a while, but this book really puts on display the love and care that goes into the images that he has created and the writing that goes with it. The book had some minor dings on arrival, but for the discounted price and the quality of photos and the book overall, I can live with the small ding on the cover

I've been following Joey's work for the past year and it has been incredible to see the depths he goes into for a subject he works on. This is a decade long study of Ethiopia, not just a vacation trip, and the details come through both in the content of the book as you can see by the hand-crafted maps and the exquisite photographs. But it also comes through in the craftsmanship of the book. It is a weighty book with large expansive pages that give his work the space it needs to breath. The pages lay completely flat, which speaks to the quality of the binding, and photographs come through brilliantly. I hope this book gets the recognition it deserves over the coming years as we enjoy it for decades to come.

I have watched Joey L from his early career to now. He went from being a phenomenal young photographer to adult master. Truly, he is by all accounts a photography master.The Images in this book are stunning, delicate and respectful. The lighting is so well crafted and placed that it can safely be considered art.Besides the wonderful subjects, history and cultural details, this book crafted with care. The printing is superb and the quality of this binding is excellent.This books is a great addition to any photography our cultural history library. Bravo Joey!

This book is filled with absolutely stunning imagery! The book and print quality are outstanding as well. Having been to Ethiopia several times this book is especially meaningful.I do wish Amazon would learn to pack books properly for shipment. This very high quality book was simply placed into a large oversized box with no protective wrap, allowing the book to flop around during shipping. Sadly it arrived scuffed up with bent corners and spine. I’d suggest those who order this magnificent book request Amazon wrap it properly for shipment.
