Holds potting soil and has drainage
For us, this was more cost-effective than the same number of rigid pots, and has the bonus that they are compact when empty. When filled, the shape isn't square cornered like in the picture, it is rounded as you would expect from what is essentially a sturdy plastic bag. There are two levels of drainage/ventilation holes. As we filled them, the lower set of holes faces down, so it won't drain if it's on wood or plastic, but on gravel or sand they will drain. The second set is about 3 inches above the bottom. These don't seem to do much, but it depends how you use them. You can fill the bags nearly to the top, or fold down the sides to make a shorter shape. It's also convenient that they are white, because a black marker works nicely for labeling. We have one of these indoors and ten or so outdoors. Durability is good so far, but it has only been a couple of months.

Decent quality bags.
Decent bags but sometimes they rip when you put too much stuff in them packed too tightly.

Good value.
I normally use fabric grow bags but my area is close to 4 inches down on rain since mid May. The fabric bags dry out too quicklyI’m giving these a try but so far I’m pleased, they seem sturdy enough to last the season if not longer and are less expensive than 5 gallon buckets.

Good bags for all plants
A good product to start smaller plants & roomy enough to grow for many months

Root rot city
Not a forever home. These bags are great for short term use. Easy to fill/plant, you can write on them, seems great. Unless you can elevate them on wire racks, you will get anaerobic conditions at the bottom, even if you add more holes. They are a plastic bag; growing plants in plastic bags = anaerobic at the bottom. Fine for the money, but made me realize that any other type of container (fabric, terra cotta, etc) is better. If you get these, elevate them so they can drain. Do not leave on the ground or the bottom holes will not drain and you will smell swamp when you take your plant out to figure out why it’s stunted.
