Had previously impulsively bought these without reading reviews at full price (£125) from a high street retailer and was not disappointed neither was my teenager so when I stumbled across them on Amazon for £48 I didn’t hesitate to buy another pair so that now myself and my daughter can both have our own pair.They look and feel like a well made high quality product. They work equally as well as the GHDs the original pair was purchased to replace and we love how they heat up really quickly and the plates are rather wide so you can cover much bigger sections of your hair when straightening and it takes much less time. (We both have rather thick curly hair and these manage to straighten our hair really well). The fact that you can also create nice curls scores them extra points.I would warn the first time I used them I did end up catching my forehead with the curler part of the plate however I figured out incredibly quickly how to hold them correctly so not to repeat making that mistake again. Not going to deduct any stars for this as I’m incredibly accident prone and easily distracted so this was probably more related to that especially since my 13 year old has managed to remain injury free from using them.Highly recommend these especially if they are still on offer for £48, you won’t be disappointed at all.

Excellent price point, amazing for straightening and curling due to the shape and design. Being able to choose the temperature to avoid damaging hair is excellent and super easy to use .

This is my second set of these and they're great for curling my think hair. The only issue is the Warning sticker that's been added to the barrel warning you that they get hot - unfortunately so does the glue that's left behind, along with about a dozen strands of my hair!

I'm really pleased with these after spending a long time deciding if I should get them. They're easy to use and I've not had any issues, the only slight annoyance is that the finger guards for the end of the straighteners come off easily.Some reviews complain about the warning sticker bineg hard to remove...it is a normal sticker, you remove it before turning the straighteners on - as the instructions say. Of course it would be difficult if you melt it on!Anyway, great product and no real issues, just read the instructions.

Well I got these as my old ones have seen better days as much as I didn't want to part with them! I had high hopes with being babyliss like my old ones however I should have listened to the negative reviews. I can see why they thought of this design straight or curl kinda makes sense but I think it hasn't worked. I don't really curl that much so would be used mainly to straighten, the problem is as mentioned they get way to hot to hold even with the rubber ends I also burnt my neck a few times due to the strainers being too hot not just on the plates but all over the metal parts. I tested for curls and yeah it doesn't do a bad job but a hair curler a do just as good if not a better job, also you can do these curls with normal straighners anyway if you angle them right. Massive fail in my eyes I just ended up buying my exact same old ones again. What a shame!

It is the second set of these that I have. They are great for both straightening and curling. I have two complaints though. In the first one I bought one of the protectors for the tips was missing. The barrel gets really hot and it burns my fingers. I don’t want to have to use protective gloves! Zero response from the company when I requested a spare.The other issue is the sticker with the warning on the barrel does leave glue residue when removed. My hair gets stuck to it: impossible to use for curling. I’ll try to remove with alcohol, but not ideal.
