This fuel door looks great on my truck. It installed very easily and works great. It seems to be very well made & I expect it to last longer than the other brand I purchased a couple years ago. The finish is better than the cheaply applied chrome of the other one. You should like it as much as I do.Bill

This item is specifically for Dodge RAM Trucks (02-08 RAM 1500, 03-09 RAM 2500), as per the packaging.The most difficult aspect of installation was opening the package.Couple of issues though... I needed to add a washer to each of the door backstops (the 2 right hex bolts hold them) since the plastic bushing that is supplied for each of them is too thin. Otherwise, they would have just flopped around uselessly without keeping the door flush when locked closed. As such, the two hex bolts were just barely able to be threaded in order to start tightening them. I also had to slightly bend the locking bar so that the door was actually flush to the outer ring upon locking it closed.One additional note: The picture of this item must be a stock representation of Bully locking fuel doors since the item received actually only has 6 hex bolts vice 8, as shown. Not an issue per say but do not expect to get a door that looks exactly like the picture.All said, it fits well and looks as if it were OEM.

This fit on my 03 Ram 1500 like a glove. Fitting was a little tight, but once it was in place, it looked great. Came with 4 keys,so no need to worry about lost keys.

Forget about having your diesel siphoned off. A few months back I got caught in a snitch operation where zealous local law enforcement was targeting all diesel pickup trucks. My truck was good, but imagine how surprised I was when a state DOT officer asked to sample my fuel tank. It’s unusual to dip a tank on a no -commercial vehicle, but if you don’t comply there is a major fine. I said sure, whatever, having just filled up the day before. My tank was clear of dye indicating untaxed/off-road fuel.What got me was the pamphlet the DOT officer gave me. Basically, a few gallons of dyed, untaxed fuel was a misdemeanor, but any amount over that was a FELONY. I was shocked. I’m running a pickup on a secondary road, not a corporate rig hauling under contract.Knowing what I know about the fuel industry, I will never put another drop of diesel in my tank without checking it first for dye, and my tank now stays double locked so nobody could tamper with it. It might be overkill, but considering the stakes and the laws in your areas, I’d think about it.

The cover took about 30 min to change which is pretty fast but it was hard to get the manufacture bolts off the original and I dropped a bolt in my tank do to the lack of space to work with. Over all changing the cover wasn't over complicated. The quality and feel of the cover is nice though I noticed it doesn't sit flush with the the body of my truck.

Installation seems straightforward. Not really. Bolts on the right side are too short. There should be spacers to go between the sheet metal of the truck and the door stops. Otherwise the door stops are loose and hang down and don't actually stop the door. I had to find some washers to use as spacers. Trying to get my fingers in to tighten the nuts onto the bolts was an exercise in frustration as well.Doesn't quite sit flush with the body, but as another reviewer mentioned, you can't really tell unless you are right up close and looking for it.It is very beefy though. If someone really wanted to get in, the lock or the body would give way before the door.

Good value and have added a little more safety to my truck. Easy to install and was delivered on time. Consider adding a few extra screws to the package (mine was missing 1) in lieu of 4 keys that it came with; 2 keys are plenty. Looks sharp!

Looks good, but installation is more cumbersome than it should be and fit is less than ideal.On my 2005 1500 Quad Cab, in order to have the door close and be mostly flush with the outer mounting ring, the longer contact tabs on the non-hinged side needed to be placed between the outside of the truck sheet metal and the nylon washer that sits against the outer mounting ring; the order goes outer mounting ring, nylon washer, long contact tabs, truck sheet metal, flat metal washer, lock washer, nut. Because the outer mounting ring reduces the size of the opening, if you have large hands, getting the internal washers and nut in place can be a little bit of a challenge; especially considering the loose fit of the mounting hardware. The one advantage to the loose fit mounting hardware, however, is that you can use it to adjust positioning before tightening everything down; although as noted by others, the profile is flat and does not match the curvature of the truck sheet metal regardless how much you adjust it. Installation isn't necessarily "difficult," just a bit fiddly.Oh... and be careful of sharp edges around the mounting holes through the truck sheet metal. I caught a nice slice on a fingertip (deep enough to draw blood and need krazy-glue to close) from the backside of one of the holes while trying to get/keep the fiddly hardware in place.

I liked all aspects of the door. It's a perfect fit. Looks like original equipment. It has a heavy feel to it, not flimsy.
