My son is about to turn 5, I decided to get him these headphones because his on-ear headphones hurt the top of his head and put pressure on his ears making them red after an hour. We also got tired of trying to yell at him to get his attention. I bought these bone-conducting headphones from 'My First Headphones' and I'm pleased to say that my son loves them right away. He said they sound better than his last on-ear pair and he said he barely feels them on his head. No pressure on his skull and appears to fit properly around the back of his head. This design will allow him to grow with this all while still fitting perfectly. The super flexible stems and the ultra lightweight of this device make it perfect in size for children. I was able to put it on and though a little snug, I could still effectively use it and I'm a 5'10" man. He can also hear his mommy and daddy perfectly while still listening to his tablet. No sound leaks at all, we cannot here annoying kids YouTube leaking sound from his headphones, sounds perfectly silent from our perspective. Yet, he says it sounds loud for him. What's cool is that since his ears are open to the environment, he doesn't yell or talk loud like he does wearing his on-ear headphones, he can regulate the volume of his voice like he wasn't wearing anything at all.My only complaints are the magnetic proprietary charging port. This is highly inconvenient. If only this charged fast through USB-C then this would have been a perfect pair of headphones.Overall, this is a perfect pair of headphones for your child. The combination of compact lightweight and flexible design meets the convenience of an open ear environment with no sound leaking allows effective and safe communication to your children. Battery life is fantastic and it appears to be sweat or water resistant. Lastly, the fact that this has a sound limiter for your child is important as well, to protect their ears from loud sounds. This was clearly made for children in mind and 'My First Headphones' did their user research well for their design. Please buy this inside of the Aftershokz Mini for your child. Saves you $50+.

I will start with stating that for a child under the age of 10 these probably work well. I bought them in the hope that they would fit better on my smaller adult female head. These headsets were only slightly smaller than another brand that I have for adults. I found that they didn't stay put on my head as well as my other bone conduction headphones. Also, this isn't a negative against the product but my own opinion. The headphones have a max decibel level that just wasn't loud enough for my liking. For a young child, this set max decibels probably works fine. I also did not like the bass and overall sound quality compared to my other headphones. So overall for a child I would recommend them, but not for an adult because of the sound quality. The seller was efficient with shipping and the return of this product. No complaints at all to the seller.

I really loved the fit of these headphones, but when the battery is running down or they connect to your Bluetooth source, there is a very loud child's voice that speaks the status. It is easily heard by people standing next to you and startled me multiple times with its not adjustable volume. I replaced these with a different set that did not have such a loud default setting on the battery loud notifications.

I have a pair of AfterShokz and they have actual bone conduction. These are speakers that sit on your ear. They don't use bone conduction at all.

Awesome headphones. I’m an adult and these fit me perfectly. Battery lasts a long time and charges relatively fast. Sound quality is excellent.
