This is a great bed at a great price! I bought the white one and it looks really nice. The instructions are clear and easy to follow if you are used to flat packed furniture. It is better to have two people when putting it together.To make it more secure, we put in heavy duty corner bed brackets on each corner of the bed. We also used two of the same brackets on the rear corners of the bottom horizontal rail. Then we attached the bed to the wall with simple corner brackets on the top and bottom of each of the three posts next to the wall. The bed is now rock solid, does not move or creak and is strong enough for an adult.I wasn't happy with the slats provided (15 slats, 60mm wide and 13mm thick), as I felt they were too thin and too few for an adult . We put in some better quality slats, so it's much stronger and the gaps are narrow so it's better for the mattress (16 slats, 70mm wide and 19mm thick). The slats are 90cm long. The bed is such good value that it's definitely worth paying another £30 or so for better slats.This bed is great for modern houses with low ceilings. Although an adult couldn't stand up underneath the bed, there is plenty of room to sit at the desk, which is really big, and you don't feel too close to the ceiling when in bed. As an adult, you can sit up in bed without banging your head if you slouch a bit.I would 100% recommend this bed!

By some miraculous intervention, I managed to assemble this all by myself with the help of a step ladder to support some parts while putting up. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only downside was it was very heavy so I had trouble lifting the boxes upstairs and needed another person to help. The Allen key is provided but you will need a screwdriver for some parts. When putting the ladder together I found that quite hard to do and needed an electric screwdriver as the screws were really tough to put into the wood. It took about 3 hours in the end to assemble the whole thing. I chose a thinner mattress after reading the previous reviews because you don’t get much height from the barriers at the top once a mattress is in place. I found that overall it’s not very sturdy and when someone goes up the ladder the bed can sometimes tip. It may need bolting to the wall to make it safer. The bed does move a lot when someone is climbing in and out of it. I also found it to be very high up. I’m 5ft 5 and I can’t see over the top and have to climb up a step to kiss my child goodnight!Loads of space underneath though which is why I bought it. The slats fitted perfectly but there are no holes for the screws on the bed frame so you’ll need an electric screwdriver for this part too or a strong arm to get the screws through the wood. It looks nice though but may need reinforcements for more sturdiness.

So looking at questions before buying to see if I could have the desk and ladder on the same side. The actually answer is no you can't. Where I wanted them on the same side it's not the end of the world and actually think its better they aren't. But please note that they can't go on the same side because the ladders are in the way for the desk to sit properly.After looking at the questions and seeing the desk and ladder can be on the same side I ordered and at first I regretted not looking at the reviews. If I had then I probably wouldn't of ordered this bed though so it's a good job I didn't. A couple of parts were damaged however messaging the company then looking at reviews I was very worried until the company got back to me very quickly. I can not fault this company at all! They are brilliant and helped so much with all my problems! I am so glad I ordered this bed and I really can't praise this company enough. Don't let the bad reviews sway your decision not to buy because it is amazing.Also my son loves his new bed with his games set up and has shown it off to everyone 🥰

This was delivered first thing in the morning which was great. The bed was packaged in two separate boxes and came with clear (picture only) instructions. As I screwed one plank to the side of the bed, the planl cracked almost completely in half, but thankfully is still ok to use and doesn't compromise the structure integrity. (Still frustrating though). After 2 hours of putting the frame together, it came to placing the slats on to the frame but I discovered that they were approximately 2cm too wide and would not fit in to the frame. If I hadn't had spare slats from the bed I had precviously I would have been absolutely livid. I am still annoyed that I spent just shy of £200 on a bedframe that split and could not fit the slats on that came with it. From reading the reviews and questions, I noticed that the desk could be placed at either end. However, I could not have both the ladder and desk at the same end because the ladder blockee the desk from fitting on properly. All in all -it looks lovely - but I would seriously be careful due to the slats potentially not fitting. That may be ok if you have tools to cut each individual one to the desired length, but surely defeats the purpose having to do it.

Has been put together with relative ease, but more importantly is exactly what I hoped it would be. Good quality.
