Headlight Switch Control Knob for Volkswagen Golf Jetta Mk5 Mk6 2008 up Scirocco Tiguan Touran 04 to 11 Caddy Passat B6 Cc

I was getting real tired of accidently leaving my lights on because the factory installed headlight knob didn't include an auto setting and the car doesn't ding when the lights are left on. This replacement just replaced the original equipment and provided my 2006 Jetta with an auto setting. My only complaints are minor. There are no instructions on how to make the exchange (which isn't a knock against the product), but the procedure is easy. Further, my original vehicle's control knob came in flat black and nickel. This is a gloss black and chrome. It doesn't look bad, it just doesn't match exactly.

Fits my 2006 VW Rabbit perfectly! It's a nice little update, simple,cheap, and sleek. My car doesn't have Auto lights, but still is a plug and play product. Both "Auto" and the normal "On" symbol work to turn the lights on.To install: Turn switch to off postion.Push in and the switch will recess in. While doing so, twist to the on position and pull straight out.Disconnect the wire harness by pinching the little clip and gently pulling out.Connect the new switch to the harness. (Just a little side note, On my car the harness was connected to the old switch the opposite way. Just twist the wire harness 180 degrees gently and it will plug right in.)Push the new switch straight in and you are done!

This is super light weight almost feels empty. I sadly was not able to use it because I don't have the ability to change the codes to make it do auto on. I just wanted to use it so lights turn on when car is started and off when it is turned off to avoid anyone ever leaving lights on with a dead battery.

first, turned off DRL without software (vag-com)....didn't want all that hassle. next, added the extra parking light wire that is supposed to be needed per many posts online ($10 at local VW dealership). So, for me, after the initial work, this was literally a 30 second plug and play. With DRL off, I can now use just parking lights with side markers, or parking lights, side markers and fogs. looks good. Now just need to update parking lights and fogs to LED and I'll be all good.This thing works as advertised and took about 10 days for delivery.

Bought this for my 2006 Passat. Took about 2 min to install. No tools required.As with most of the controls in my car, the paint on the headlight switch was pealing and looking rough, so I bought this. My car doesn't have automatic headlights, but this was the same price as the original one and when the switch is set to Auto, the lights turn on and off with the ignition. Now the switch looks good and I never have to worry about whether my lights are on or off.

Picture of product is deceiving. The picture shows a genuine vw switch however what I got in the mail does not have any part numbers or labels on it and feels really cheap. For the price it is a decent buy however my rating reflects on the inaccurate picture...also the trim on the switch is chrome as opposed to the aluminum look that is seen all throughout Volkswagen s...Will not match.

I was hesitant at first buying a cheaper switch instead of OE but this switch works great.I know there are a few problems with the chrome finished switches but I received a brushed aluminium finish.

I wouldn't mind this switch being a knockoff if it worked well but it can't even handle that. The chrome color doesnt match the car (2012 Golf TDI) and if I wasn't careful turning the headlights on my foglights would come on. The switches stop didn't work very well and would push the knob out toward the first fog position if not turned very gently. I got another on ebay for $5 more that actually has the VW logos, matches the trim, and has a good switch mechanism that feels OEM. No more accidentally turning on foglights!
