Very nice tap and die set. Good variety of SAE sizes and threading. Works very well
This is a very nice tap and die set. All this tap/dies are cleanly machined and rust free. The size and threading are stamped on each die but may be "partially" missing (off the face). I have only used a couple of each and they performed well and allowed me to salvage some hardware that was stripped and even fix a rust problem on a tension bar for my mitre saw.CaseThe blown plastic case works very well for the dies. Some of the taps can come loose, but most stay in place. Overall a pretty good case. -- Adding foam will probably help with the taps if you want to try to make them more secure.Tap / Die Holders:Both are high quality (relative to other kits in the same price range) and make a good fit. They appear to be sturdy enough for the job and didn't have much wobble once tightened. I do recommend getting a T-handle tap holder for most jobs if you don't need that much torque.. They are easier to "spin" if you don't need much torqueFinal thoughts:I am very pleased with their performance and would recommend this set. I think it is a good value.

Ok so far
Case does suck as others have said. Had to use on 4 aluminum brackets and it worked well. Hope it does good on other materials. We will see.

All the standard taps/dies you’d need at a good price!
This set is a real bargain, in my opinion. I don’t do a TON of thread cutting in my shop, but this set covers all of the most common SAE threads and is likely more than I’ll ever need. That probably goes for a lot of homeowners. It even comes with a little thread pitch gauge, which is an awesome addition and will help you figure out what size thread all of those mystery screws or nuts are. I do a lot of antique restoration, and these things come in super handy. All this for like $32 (at the time of this writing)! The case does have a few minor issues where some of the smaller taps don’t stay in place once the case is turned upright, but I remedied that by taking the protective plastic piece that comes inside the case which covers the hardware, used it as a template to cut out a piece of 1/8” thick foam, and put that inside when I close it up. (pictured) The foam is pressed into everything and holds it all in place better. Anyway, yeah, this set is a steal. Highly recommend for any homeowner, maker, or hobbyist.

Not impressed with this set
I was hoping to receive a tap and die set that I could be happy with, but this isn’t that. The “finished” quality just isn’t there. The threads aren’t fully cut or clean, and the case is very poor quality. I'm reminded of the cheapest tool offerings from Harbor Freight. That said, this doesn’t mean the set is completely unusable. If you go through and do quality control on every single tap and die, I think there is potential to clean up the pieces that have poorly cut threads – I’ve been able to break free some of the “extra” metal clogging the threads with a small flathead screwdriver. If all of this extra metal can all be removed, this should make the set useable. There are also many taps and dies that don’t have any issues at all. It’s just inconsistent quality/quality control. I think I might try to use the corresponding die to finish cutting the problem taps in my set. I didn’t think about trying that until sitting down to write this review. Back to the case though, it's just bad. The hinges aren't really hinges - they are just thin strips of molded plastic that will eventually split. There was also no foam/spongy cover over the tools, so all of the small pieces were out of position and rattling around together in the case. With a better case and finishing, this could be a nice budget set. As it is, I can't recommend it.

A premium high-quality tap and die set
Overall I am well pleased with his tap and die set. Most importantly all the component pieces are top-notch quality as advertised they're made with premium materials. It is also a very complete set and it's nice to have everything that you need in a reasonably compact case. The only issue that I have with them which is extremely small is that each individual piece does not snap in securely to the case. Note in the photo that when I got it all the pieces are all over the place. If you lay it flat it's no problem at all but I like to hang my cases vertically on pegboard. Again small issue but with respect equality they're 100%. Based on the quality lol I highly recommend them.

Comprehensive Kit
The media could not be loaded. This is a large, comprehensive tap and die kit. Taps can be used by drill if you have a steady hand, but hand crank is included.Video shows overview of the set.Case is too loose as you'll see in my video. Ended up adding a sheet of foam to hold the tools in place. That works great. Bad case but solid taps and dies.
