I have wanted a ukulele for years and years. Finally I got one for my 84 birthday. Don’t laugh. I went on You tube found some lessons and now I’m on my way. Aloha!

GotAUkulele was right about the finish on the body. Its anything but beautiful. I think they needed to pore fill the mahogany to get a good gloss finish. However the finish on the neck is perfect. The 18-1 tuners are as smooth as silk. Action is decent at 1.8 mm at the 12th fret. The nut may be a little high but it is pretty much standard off the rack height. Intonation is fine. The width of the nut at 34/35 mm is comfortable. The strings are on the skinny side with the C string only .028.The mahogany top looks different from the sides and back, but this is likely because it is quarter sawn (hopefully) and the laminated sides and back are not quarter sawn ( like the old ribbon mahogany doors versus rotary mahogany doors)

Great uk to get started. Everything seems of reasonable quality at this price point. Neck build is beautiful. Body finish is OK but wood grain is not filled so even though the finish is shiny the wood pours are open and it may be said that it cheapens the overall look.
