Fantastic Fashion Designer Kit for Girls!

Kit contains quite a few fabrics and accessories.
My great-niece was excited to receive this. She is in 4 th grade and wants to be a fashion designer. My only complaint, and it is a big one, is that the kit contains no instructions or patterns. The dressmaker mannequins have an opening in the back where you can drape and tuck the fabric. It is not a sewing kit.

Only need to add imagination!
The media could not be loaded. What a great set! My granddaughter has recently started wanting to sew and make things. I saw this, and think she will like it.It has SO MANY THINGS! Two dress dolls, and so many different fabric types. It has sequins, rhinestones, pearls, lace, ribbons, and the doo-dads! It includes faux fur, tulle, and so many types of materials.It also includes dress clamps, needles and thread, a safety pin, and push pins. They even add little scissors to cut fabric, that has a plastic “spring” you cap flip up that opens the scissors back up automatically, to prevent fatigue.There is a retractable tape measure as well. Also, a little notebook to plan their designs.This is everything a child would need to make fashion designs from start to finish.This set is great for making doll clothes, and could also be used for other crafts, such as scrapbooking.I would NOT recommend this for children under the age of 7 or 8, simply due to sharp needles, and other items a young child shouldn’t play with.But for kids 8 and up - definitely recommended!

Great idea, poor execution
I got this for my daughter as she has been developing her skill for drawing as well as putting outfits together... Look out Heidi Klum! She is 6 so it was a little more complicated than I was able to really pay attention to her for... The kit comes with several pieces of fabric - which she found all them very pretty - a couple of velcro fasteners, a set of pins, real needles and thread for sewing pieces together, 2 small mannequins, different rhine stones and beads... This is a super inclusive set that would be fabulous for any budding designer!! She's excited to start again but this time, I'm going to have my mother over so she can help her as she used to sew and make clothes once upon a time. It will be an amazing way for the two of them to bond!

8 yr old was stoked
My daughter wants to be a fashion designer. So when I saw this I had to snag it for her. She was so stoked to receive it. She couldn't wait to dig in and start making things. The mannequins are little flimsy. They pop apart kind of easily after putting them together but they'll work for their intended purposes and we can always glue it together to make it solid. There is plenty of fabric to make a few really cute outfits for her dolls and everything else she needs to get started. She has already started pulling pieces and planning outfits out so she can start cutting and piercing them together. I can't wait to see the finished results.

Not for anyone under 12
Poor product. No instructions or guidance. Chinese manufactured and only words in the warranty area were not even translated to English in an understandable manner. Product advertised for 6+ and I worked with my granddaughters over 7 and we all got so frustrated that we quit after an hour. Less than a half-dozen 12x12 inch scraps of materials, 6 needles with 2 feet of thread each, 6 inches of velcro and scissors fit for a two year old. They included cheap Barbie-like plastic shoes (won't fit other dolls), 2 miniature mannequins (which wouldn't stand up when being used) some sequence and some cheap bows. Definitely would not endorse this. Waste of money.
