Was the key to a warm house through this latest arctic blast weather.
Seeing that we were scheduled for multiple days of below freezing weather, I knew I needed to up my apartment weatherization game. Plastic sheeting and duct tape was fine for the windows but for the doors I wanted something that could be removed and replaced easily. This was one of the first things that caught my eye for both its function and its look. It ships with plenty of velcro to stick to your door frame and some easy to install tacks to give the velcro a little extra staying power for pulling the panel off. Without the tacks in place the adhesive on the velcro would rip right off the wall every time you tried to remove the panel. Was super easy to install. They didn't provide enough tacks to really secure it down but I had some gold thumb tacks on hand that filled in the gaps just fine. If you're not planning on pulling it off the door often, I'm sure the included tacks will work fine. The gap in the middle is nice for me because I can still look through my door eye hole. If this was over a screen door or something that didn't require to swing into the apartment that magnetically closing opening would mean I never had to take it off until it warmed up. The other thing the magnet curtain let me do was feel all the cold air on the other side that was getting past my door but being blocked from entering the apartment. This thing saved my heating bills during this freeze and I've recommended them to most of my friends to get one before the next freeze.

Perfect for our needs…👍
We have a home in Utah built in 1935 with “finished” basement. It shares a tv/workout/man cave room with a doorway to the laundry room.It gets freaking cold down there in winter so if we are working out on the spin bike or doing weights it’s fine, but we’ve barely ever used the space to relax on the couch and watch tv. The home furnace and a space heater is what we use to warm it up but it doesn’t do the trick.I thought about hanging a door but no matter how you mounted it to swing open it still would be in the way when not closed. So I started looking into a divider solution. This one has turned out to be great. Very inexpensive and functional. It’s fairly thick and well constructed. When you walk through it the magnets quickly stick back together to seal the door.It has done a great job of sealing off the cold laundry room which allows the space heater to efficiently warm the rest of the basement that we want to hang out in.It’s not fancy and beautiful, but it works perfectly for what we needed it to do.The one thing I did is I bought some WHITE velcro to replace the black velcro that comes with it. We’ll want to take it down during the warmer months and I didn’t want the black velcro outlining our white doorway once it is removed.Between the white velcro and the velro already comes fixed on the fabric doors it seems to be stuck up there fairly securely.

Impressive insulating magnetic door curtain
Insulating magnetic sealing door curtain exceeded my expections. Heavy-duty padding, great seal. Edges are sealed with adhesive backed velcro to frame, needs to also be tacked in place and not enough tacks were included (my only gripe). Curtain made a real difference during cold spell and I may leave it up for heat blocking too.

Strong magnets
This door cover is amazing. I live in an older apartment and the front door leaks cold air pretty bad. I placed this item in the doorway in-between my living room and the door to the outside. What a difference in temperature!!! My living room stays nice and warm now. It is easy to hang, I opted to just use the tacks that came with it instead of the tape to avoid peeling the paint off my door frame when I go to take it down. The magnets in the middle section are really strong in my opinion, they come together easily and do what they are supposed to do by keeping the flaps closed. One downside is the silver tacks could be constructed better, two of them bent/broke when tapping them into the doorframe. I was skeptical when buying this but am glad that I did now.

Really helps keep the house toasty!
I can't believe I didn't buy this earlier.I have a backroom in my house that's poorly constructed and extremely drafty. It made the whole back wing of the house cold in winter. Just tossing this up literally made my house comfortable again! It's easy to install, it feels pretty high quality, and it's made a huge difference to the comfort of the house. I also expect it'll probably pay for itself in a matter of months through gas bills alone.

It took work to get it to fit, but, we figured it out
Updated review: My first review was negative because the measurements were not correct. I ordered 36" but the cover was 1" too wide. I also have a front door that opens to the inside with a screen door and it wouldn't fit. With a little tweaking my son figured out how to make it work. It took a lot of work to make it fit right because the right side went beyond the doorway and we didn't want Velcro on the painted wall. But, once he got it to fit it works beautifully. I will be ordering another one for my son's bedroom window. He is third shift and sleeps during the day and this will work better than the blackout curtains he currently has. If you order one and your door opens to the inside you will have to make it fit and going in and out will be more difficult, but, if you can figure out how to make it fit you will be glad to have it. It keeps the cold out better than anything we've tried.
