Very real looking and for a good price
I set up my 10 pc Barton ceramic logs, and they look beautiful on my fireplace. They give a very realistic look and comfort to your home. They are easy to set up and you get enough pieces to set it up your own way.

Viewing appeal
I have had these logs a few months and have decided to give a review. I add six pieces to my existing two large anchor logs and they really look great when they burn. They burn clean and produce no odor or residue in the air. There is a small periodic black burn residue that develops on some parts of the logs but I resolve this by spraying with gas log smooth remover prior to tuning my fireplace on. Overall I am very pleased and if place right look great when they burn.

Looks nice
I like them. I am keeping the logs. The only part that is not good for me is- The large pieces go in a particular way. Wish the one log didn’t have the notch out of it because it limits how they stack. I think, given the texture, they would be able to stack w/o the notch.

Potential to be dangerous to health and pets. Use with Caution
These were aesthetically passable and the sizing worked because my grate is small and fireplace medium width. I’m using ventless gel fuel canisters indoors in a painted remodeled wood burning fireplace that is no longer usable due to chimney issues. I stacked the wood in the front 2/3’s of the grate, and positioned the gel fuel cans in the back section of the grate. I DID NOT put these into direct flame. I think in spring I’ll heat them outside as a test for fumes etc.I don’t know if I trust these to get hot, & here’s why: 1/Upon unboxing, these left black residue on my hands and clothes.2/ I immediately got splinters in my hands, tiny shards that felt like glass buried deep in my skin. That was terrifying as I have a small pet who walks the floors and licks her paws, so if she swallows that material, it could injure or kill her.I’m going to keep them, constantly vaccuum around them, keep the fireplace covered, and wipe with wet wipes anywhere they are daily n case shards get in the house. If I’m incredibly cautious, they will suffice for this season.

Looks great and functions well
I bought these to replace a much more expensive set while selling my house. The logs are well-packed and light. They are ceramic material, but not solid. It takes a bit to lay them out so that they look like real logs in the fireplace, but one set up, they were great. To set them up, I first added a layer of small black lava rock over the burner to disperse the flames. On top of that layer I added the grate, and finally the logs. Initially when I fired up the fireplace, the gas burned blue, but after a few minutes, the logs start glowing and the fire turns a more realistic yellow. The glowing red color does add to the realism of the logs, but the fact that they retain that much heat may imply that they aren't going to last that long. Regardless, for the price, they can't be beat.

Do not buy!
Bought these logs last year. After using them maybe a total of 5 times (we live in Texas and don’t use the fireplace much) the logs have started to disintegrate. They claim to be able to withstand the heat and I can assure you that they do not! Reached out to the company about providing a refund or replacement and they said no. Which to me shows they do not stand behind their product. Waste of money!

Good if you set the up correctly.
I was nervous about buying these because of the reviews saying they scorch. I actually held off for a year and looked at buying a full fireplace set up for $450 instead, but that seemed excessive and I kept coming back to these. Eventually I did some much-needed research and discovered that most scorching is the result of user error. Apparently you can’t just put the logs on the rack over the gas burner and expect good results. Go figure. When I first got my logs, I wanted to try them out so I did just that and voila! Scorch marks. Here’s what it takes. It’s not hard or expensive. Note: I’m not a fireplace expert. This is based on internet research and setting up my own logs. You must have a pan full of silica sand under your burner to distribute the gas and flame. It’s best if your burner holes don’t point upward because the sand will go in. I turned mine 3/4 of the way downward in to the sand. Then you cover the sand with burning embers which is a kind of very fine metal wool. It glows when the flame touches it and produces a beautiful ember effect. You can sort of see in the pics that the flame is spread across a two inch wide area the length of the burner instead of shooting straight upward.Place the logs so that none of them are directly on the burner. Put the big ones in the very front and in the very back so there’s a gap for the flame. Then pile the little ones on top. See pics. It’s ok that the flame “licks” the higher logs, but not the lower ones. The idea is to ensure adequate airflow. The sand and embers are available on Amazon and not pricey. Keep the glass open and the airflow good and check for scorching. Move the logs if necessary. Good luck!

Large pieces
A good mix of large and medium pieces. Very light too. Extremely well packaged so you get no broken pieces over shipping. The pieces are better viewed from one side. They really present one good side so they seem better for in-wall fireplaces where there's one viewing angle. If you plan to have those in a propane/natural gas fire pit where people can view from all sort of angles, these pieces have a flat side that doesn't look natural. Might get tricky positioning them right for a realistic show. But overall they look good. They absorb and radiate the heat which enhances the enjoyment of our NG firepit on chilly evenings.

fair amount of "wood"
looks fairly good, hoping it weathers and looks better with use. lots of pieces so should look good on the fire. some flat spots to stack it just so. I will have to look at the pictures to set it up proper.

Look good, hold up very well
These look pretty good! There is a large assortment of reasonably realistic looking logs included. They seem to take the heat with no problems, and have fared well to being exposed to the elements all summer long.

Five Stars
Logs not only look good when on fire. The logs add more radiant heat as well.
