Beistle 57856 Authentic Chinese Good Luck Coins, 1 Inch, 25 Coins in Package

Have gotten several of these and quality of item is consistently good for its cost. Perfect for Chinese New Year craft with nice detail of dragon. Warning: they can break if a kid tries to bend it.

Please be advised these are a thin plastic, while they served a purpose in a fun way they are not brass. An inexpensive way to say "Good Luck" to many. This is the second time I have purchased these. I am very satisfied with the great quality and quantity for the price. I used these before with the little red and gold envelopes to pass out at the office for Chinese New Year. Everyone loved them. This year I wanted to send some out to friends and again I am very satisfied. Such a fun way to celebrate and wish good luck. Very quick delivery as well and that's always a plus for me!

I bought this for my son's dohl (first birthday). There's a tradition where you lay out certain items, and the one the child chooses is what they'll be doing in the future. I wanted it to be as traditional as possible so I purchased this. I'm so glad I did! It definitely added a "historic" flair to the event and it came a lot sooner than I thought. Great price for what it is. They totally look the part and they weren't plastic or "toy like". They're made out of metal so it's durable and feels like what it would back in the olden days!

The coins had somehow completely come out of the plastic bag they come in and were loose all over inside a larger box from Amazon that contained other items I'd purchased at the same time. As I retrieved them from under the cardboard flaps, etc. I then noticed how cheaply made they are. Super thin and flimsy.

I ordered these coins last year for a second grade class and a project about the Chinese New Year. They were a big hit ... along with some paper money! I ordered more this year for three classes. They came in perfect condition, not bent or deformed. The only caveat is that the package says the coins are not for children. I think it must mean smaller children who might put them in their mouth. I don't see any problem with giving them to a second grade child. I am very happy with this purchase! .... and ... they arrived the day after I ordered them!!! I don't know how they did it! Highly recommended product and seller!

These are cheap luck coins/tokens to give out at a chinese new year celebration at the elementary school my wife teaches at. She gave one to each kid, who loved the "cut out" part of the coin, as that is so different from US coins. They are cheap "folded?" metal and feel hollow and of cheap quality. However, for their purpose, they were great. Would buy again.UPDATE 4/2014As a matter of fact, I did buy more. These are thin, cheap, and have some over-cast in the center square (it's not cut/stamped out, but these seem cast, not stamped). However, I wanted them for "upgraded" coins for a chinese-themed board game to replace the cardboard coin tokens. These are great! It is a cheap, simple, and successful way to add to the theme of the game. Often recommend to others when they see these coins in my games.

I dont know their real design so I dont know if thes are 'authentic' but they are cute and small but not tiny and made of durable metal. Not flimsy. Also the packaging is really nice. Come in a row next to each other is if it was a pile that slide to one angle. Best packaging ive seen in a long time, didnt wanna open it lol.

These are so thin, small and lightweight that it makes you wonder why they are sold in packages of 25. It's really hard to see how they can add to household decor when they are so incredibly tiny and unspectacular. This tiny package they came in was also so poorly stapled together that half of the coins already spilled out into the larger packaging that it came in. Feel absolutely cheated for the price I paid for these miserably small and thin coins!
