This dual sided version is better for mixing and scraping than KitchenAid's OEM single-sided version. We used in triple batches of cookies and double batches of brownies and it has worked well.

I bought this as a replacement for a cheaper scape beater that failed. I feel much better about this beater. It only scrapes one side at a time as it rotates around the bowl. This is a preferable motion to the cheap beater that scape on each side. By only scraping the rubber on one side at a time it puts significantly less pressure on both the rubber part on the beater as well as the mixer’s motor. ( the cheap beater broke off the rubber scrapers on both sides in just 10 months of use.

Throw away every paddle attachment you own! This paddle attachment with a scraper is unlike any other on the market, because it actually works! No more dry ingredients left underneath the dough because the blade is in direct contact with the bottom of the bowl. The notch at the bottom allow the blades to scrape as individuals. The snug fit against the walls of the bowl prevents the sugar and butter from climbing up the side of the bowl when creaming. Attaching the blade was a bit stiff because of the snug fit. It is made of heavy duty metal with pliable silicone scraper blades not flimsy plastic. Worth every penny!

And boy, does it ever! I’ve bought and returned at least three other versions of a bowl scraping beater in the past 10 years because none of them worked. Some were clearly the wrong size despite my double checking the model of my KitchenAid mixer, and some just simply didn’t work for beans. I returned every single one and just about had given up. But BonAppétit.com published an article on April 22 entitled “No Stand Mixer Is Complete Without the BeaterBlade” and that led me to locate it here and order it. I did check my KitchenAid model number (a Professional 5 Plus-KV25GO) and when the beater arrived I eagerly tried it out. I did need to adjust the set screw just a smidge to lower the bowl. For some reason the manufacturer says not to try the beater out for size in an empty bowl. But my word, did it work beautifully with the cookie dough I tried. I’ve used it three times since I got it, and I didn’t need to scrape the bowl down once! I love my KitchenAid, and I bake a lot. I’ve been baking for more than 50 years and I’m thrilled to have found this. One thing to consider is that this version is made of metal with silicone “scrapers” and will be much sturdier than those versions where the beater part itself is made of plastic. I think I’ll be enjoying the freedom from scraping the bowl down for years to come. The white coated metal beater that came with the mixer when I bought it in 2005 had begun to lose bits of the coating a few years ago, and getting a new one from KitchenAid is comparably priced to this one. Get THIS one instead. You’ll not regret it. I certainly don’t!

Does not fit 8 quart bowl. I couldn't even lift the bowl into place. Even after trying Kitchen Aid mixer adjustment screw, the beater is still too tight against bowl and is scraping the bottom of Kitchen Aid bowl as well. Also, making tapping noises as it hits the side of the bowl. The beater seems very sturdy perhaps but how can anyone use a beater that does not fit?

Our Costco model ( 9 1/2”bowl) had no paddle with the rubber blades that would fit. Ordered this ML and it fits and works great!!

I don’t like that it makes so much noise. It’s a little hard to clean in all those little grooves. Super sturdy compared to others I have purchased. I would recommend for bakers cleans the side walls well.

Works well for the 5 qt pro. Used about 20 times with no sign of wear on the product.

This blade is wonderful for mixing ingredients and scraping them off the wall of the bowl. No more stopping and scraping with a spatula

Estábamos por estrenar esta aspa mi esposa y yo en nuestra Pro 7qt, cuando nos dimos cuenta que quedaba floja, probamos otras aspas chinas que también adquirimos y estas otras no quedaban flojas, quedaban igual de bien que las originales.Decisión... devolverla, posiblemente hubiera funcionado bien, pero mejor nos ahorramos la pena de que más adelante se aflojara el cabezal de la batidora haciendo que incluso los originales pudieran quedar flojos, así que mejor nos ahorramos la posible pena.Lo siento Amy, nos convenció bastante tu video en youtube con esta aspa, pero pues no se hizo.

I ordered this with some trepidation having tried another brand which did not fit my machine. I have a Kitchenaid Pro 6 L lift mixer. Loved the fact that It's metal - tried the plastic - they don't last. The beater blade fits my machine perfectly. Gets right down to the bottom of the bowl as well as completely scraping the sides. Have to be careful if the bowl is fairly full as it is a little fiercer in turning than the blade that came with the machine. I do have the Kitchenaid blade with rubber on one side. This works better for my machine

This is the metal version. Make sure you get this one and not the plastic version. It works great. Fits like stock, and scrapes the sides of the bowl really well. Also, has been just fine being washed in the dishwasher numerous times so far. Very pleased!
