Krone Kalpasmos Sony WH-1000XM3 Ear Pads, WH1000XM3 EarPads with Softer Protein Leather, Earpads Cushions Replacement for Sony XM3 (1000xm3) Headphones, Black

I made the horrific decision to allow a friend to borrow my Sony WH-1000XM3 noise cancelation headphones for a trip he was taking. My friend is a great guy, he's just.... sweaty. Like all. the. time. Apparently something about enclosing his years in leather/foam headphones makes his ears sweat even more. When he returned them to me, there was this gag-inducing smell to them. I tried taking them apart, cleaning, disinfecting wipes, UV sanitation, Lysol...everything. Still stunk. What I did notice was it was the pads, not the actual headphones - so in a last ditch effort I purchased these. They arrived quickly, were easy to install, and best of all: ODOR FREE. The only down-side is that I had convinced myself if his stench didn't go away after purchasing these replacements, I was going to buy myself a new pair of Apple AirPod Max... so, I didn't get those, and I did save myself $500.

These are so close to stock, I forgot they're new. I got some more expensive pads that didn't bring the noise cancellation, you can't just put anything on there.

I have been using them for about 4 weeks now and compared with my original Sony earpads they are just as good. I only gave them 4 starts right now because I want to see how long they last. If they last as long as my original Sony earpads I will upgrade my review to 5 stars. So far I am very happy with them and would order them again.

Edit: Quick customer service response. Recommend due to that alone.Original review:Ear pads were easy to install. The new pads are firmer and bounces back quicker. However, they aren't as plush and are thinner than the old OEM ear pads. Unfortunately, using the included black foam insert muffled the songs. Save the original foam inserts and use them instead.

I have what is apparently a narrow head - about 5-1/2 inches wide, not including my ears. These earpads were unable to conform to the contours of my skull, jawbone and cheekbones and allowed a lot of noise in - around 5-10 decibels in my estimation. In my experience, the original Sony earpads are the best for noise isolation, but above 70 degrees Fahrenheit are too hot for me. WC Wicked brand are close in noise isolation and are comfortable to 75 degrees. The Sony earpad surface began flaking after 3 years, while the WC Wicked brand began flaking after 15 months. Soulwit brand earpads had just as poor noise isolation as Krone. Soulwit and Krone brands might work for you if you have a wider head, where the headphones will have a higher amount of compression against your head.

First off, I goofed and ordered the gold instead of black. But when I tried it on the headphones, I kind of actually like the contrasting look. And not sure why they're called gold; they appear more like an off white to light gray.The earpad foam feels (and looks - 1st photo) thicker but softer than the originals. The width of the foam is also greater (2nd photo), but my large ears still fit within the cups just fine. This foam also bounced back much faster, practically instantly, than the originals, which takes a few seconds to return to normal shape. Overall, these feel extremely comfortable on the head. In fact, I think they're more cushy since they're softer and distribute more of the pressure over a greater area.As for the foam insert, it's slightly thicker - hard to measure since they're foam, but it is. More importanty is that it's also denser; the bulb barely gets through the new insert (left) while it passes right through the original. I think this is why the sounds are slightly muffled with the new insert; as others have suggested, I'm keeping the originals in.So, these are better than the originals as they just feel more comfortable on my head. But they're worse as the foam inserts muffle and degrade the sound. If you're just needing replacement earpads, then I highly recommend these. They just work.BTW, the included spludger was annoying to use and I was afraid of tearing the materials. I ended up using a guitar pick - rounded and wider edges.

It's funny, I wished for Sony WH-1000XM3 replacement earpads, and later in the week, this showed up. The exact model of my headphones.Replacing this is relatively easy but it can be delicate work for some. The best instructions on how to replace your earpads can be Googled.While these will never be the same quality as an OEM version from Sony, they are more than similar enough to give my earpads several extra years of life.

Overall quality is good. However, it's harder than the original ones and some might fell uncomfortable for long usage.

I have put theses and my girlfriend was very happy with the quality but the headset had another issue and I had to remove the earpads again but the plastic on theses in the back is very fragile and I broke one. I was still able to put the earpad back and it's still usable but it's still nowhere as sturdy as the original ones so be very careful when removing them.

They fitted no problems at all ,perfect.

När man använt lurarna med dessa kuddar och de blivit varma så sjunker de ihop ganska ordentligt. Efter någon månads användande är de nästan slut. Hörlurarna börjar bete sig konstigt och det är på grund av dessa kuddar, eftersom de inte "förseglar" ordentligt runt öronen och kan få rundgång med extrem ljudstyrka.
