I bought this because we needed a fire poker that was heavy duty, solid & easy to tell which end was which. This is it! The hook on the end is an added bonus. We poke ot down in the outside fire ring when not in use so we know right where it's at the next time we need it. We haven't had it long so I can't speak for longevity but so far we love it.

This thing is a beast! Reminds me of the one my grandpa had a long time ago! Super sturdy and well built! Coating seems good to because I hang mine on a post near the fire pit so it's putside all the time and still hasn't rusted! Buy one! I want to buy one for all my camping buddy's.

I use this over a very large fire pit. It's perfect. It has a long reach, easy to grip loop, and is very sturdy. There is no problem moving logs, hooking cast iron skillets, or moving grates. I would totally recommend this one as it has far more reach than others and it's a solid piece.

Works great when the fire is hot. Used it on some hot fires. No problem. Allow for easy control of wood.
