3/4 Inch Malleable Cast iron Pipe Cap, DIY Retro Furniture Threaded Pipes and Fittings, 10 Pack 3/4 Inch Pipe Cap.

I realize that these pipe caps are geared towards use with DIY shelving and furniture that incorporates iron pipe, but I like their shape a lot better than the ones from the plumbing aisle over at the big box store. These are cast in a hex configuration instead of being round like a traditional iron pipe cap, which makes them much easier to tighten with a simple crescent wrench and a lot better looking.The best part about these is the amount of cost savings they provide. Around here, 3/4" iron caps are better than $3 each, so getting these for $1 each is a no-brainer. I will qualify my comments by saying that I ordered these for some shelves that my wife wants to build, so I have not tested them in a plumbing capacity. Part of the price difference may because these aren't rated for pressure.In any case, they are perfect for shelves or furniture projects, and the price is excellent. If we use all of these up, I'll order more!

Look good, and appear to be fine. Waiting on the rest of my parts. Some rust because these are unpainted/treated. Hard to tell in the photos, but 'sandblast' for finish is what that means. The decor photos are misleading in that regard.

These are as advertised, and have no significant odor or dirty coating that rubs off easily. I've just started building desks and tables of malleable pipe, and these caps make the appropriate ends for pipes that extend beyond a shelf or run under one in such a way as to leave open ends visible. my entire office is going to be built of these things by the time I'm done. They're great for desk and table legs, shelf supports, etc. I like these better than the smoother black pipe fitting that are also available. Do a comparison before investing much money in such fittings and pipe. Buy a few smaller samples before going nuts and buying a large quantity at one time. There are several manufacturers and sellers, and the products vary. Personally, I'd be happy to stick with this supplier's products. If your imagination runs wild when you see stuff like this, thinking of projects you could undertake using them, I think you'll be pleased.

Not meant for anything big and bulky, more of a table lamp or towel rod item, no commercial use at all. will work great for what I am going to do with them, came nicely packaged and protected pretty well.

The caps were rusty when I opened the bag. Returning them.

Prior to this order I received 20 tee fittings from the same maker, Niubid. These pipe caps are similar to the tees with the sandblasted finish. The finish does seem like it would resist rust somewhat, so I don't see a problem leaving them unpainted for a shelving or clothing rack project, provided that humidity is not too high.The earlier order of 20 tees had just a few minor blemishes from casting and they didn't affect the utility or appearance of the product. These 10 caps, however, didn't have as good quality control, so the casting blemishes are more numerous. One cap actually has a tiny hole completely through! Just not enough molten metal was poured in.For decor projects, such blemishes are mere nit picks, but they do highlight how the weaker and more porous decor-grade pipe and fittings must not be used for containing pressurized gases or liquids. Use real pipe for that.These caps are adequate and attractive for decorative projects, with the low price and nice sandblast finish being the primary benefits.

These caps , like other products in this companies line of craft pipe is nicely finished and plenty suitable for making bookshelves, paper holders, towel racks, etc. They are thin and lightweight which is why they are not suitable for plumbing.

The item says they are black, but they are actually gray in color so I’m going to have to spray paint them to match
