Wooden Grill Gazebo 10 ft. x 11 ftI hope to add to this initial review later. This gazebo arrived sooner than Sunjoy's / SummerCove's shipping estimate. Purchased on 11/14 and arrived here via R&L Carriers on 11/16.Overall I am very satisfied with this Sunjoy wood gazebo! It will be used to cover a 7' x 7' hot tube and mounted on an existing concrete pad.Sunjoy sells these gazebos through other major retailers as well. You can find great reviews at Home Depot's website. I chose Sunjoy based on HD's reviews. (Amazon lists this cheaper than HD and ships quicker too)It arrived boxed on a sturdy custom 48"W x 86"L pallet. weight of pallet and load about 520 lbs. Plan accordingly. Opening the box found the wood components very well packed with thick honeycomb cardboard. None of the gazebo wooden pieces were damaged, The metal components were individually wrapped in foam sleeves. Again no damage or scraped paint.My purchase of this gazebo was with the knowledge that I would have to use strong anchors that a normal user would not need. We have earthquakes, torrential rain, and moderate to high winds. I also live in a woodlands area. Because of this I have to discard the metal base And use something like the Simpson Strong Tie ABA ZMAX.A suggestion for this retailer would be to include all of the measurements that might be needed to determine or give a better idea of what specific area has to be set aside in erecting the gazebo.The instructions are very easy to understand and the assembly is broken down into small bites. The individual pages do not use much textual information but have very detailed exploded diagrams and cutouts to show the fine details of part location and assembly. Also included on each page is a visual representation of all the parts used on that page. I found the latter to be an excellent help. All in all, one of the best instruction manuals I have worked with.That said. I was disappointed that the instruction manual had no linear measurements of any kind. Unless a buyer has a large open space to erect the gazebo they might have a problem fitting it in the space they desire. I would suggest inclusion of the gross L x W x H dimensions in your online advertising as well as in the assembly instructions. That can be done by a single sheet addendum to the otherwise great manual.The 4 posts are solid laminated cedar for increased structural strength and rigidity. Each square post is 5.375" x 5.375" and This is a 11' x 10' structureHere is my estimation of what I am working with*excluding the rooftopGazebo width W/O shelves = 9'- 0.125"Gazebo width with shelves = 10'- 10.375"Gazebo depth = 7'Distance center of post to center of postwidth = 8'- 6.75"depth = 9'- 2.375"Gazebo roof drip edgeWidth = 9'- 0.125"depth = 10'- 0.5"Roof slats = 10'- 2"I hope this helps others in making a decision. I did look long and hard at other commercial gazebos before selecting this one. Do to weather and holiday commitments all I have assembled are the posts and their cross members on my deck. they are ready to erect as soon as the concrete base has cured. I will provide a finished photo as well.
