The 3-card reader was purchased to read older-style CompactFlash (CF) cards used in a Canon 5D digital camera.The card reader is made of aluminum and plastic and is housed in a compact, rugged package.After plugging the reader into one of the Mac Studio’s USB-C ports, the LED on the reader illuminated. A 4GB CF card was then inserted into the reader, and it instantly appeared on the computer’s display.I tested the reader by transferring an 842 megabyte text file to and from the card. The transfer rate was 16 megabytes per second, which translates to 128 megabits per second and is approximately 4 times slower than stated by the vendor. However, 16 megabytes per second is still a decent transfer rate, and I have no complaints.The reader’s reasonable price, seamless integration with macOS, and flawless transfers to and from the CF card make it a good deal. Would have given 5 stars if the transfer rate was as specified.

Works perfect and easy to use.

I got this card reader to read files from my DASHCAM microSD card on my phone. The files are not supported on my MAC MINI without getting 3rd party software so I choose to use my phone instead to review, edit and share the video files on my DASHCAM. This is also very helpful if I capture footage from an accident and need to share the file with another person as I can pop out the microSD card from my DASHCAM and put into this device then open the file and share instantly. I was very impressed with the speed of file transfers as well because this is really an unknown company in my opinion so for it to work flawlessly right away is always appreciated. I also chose this one specifically because the cord will let me keep my phone case on and plug in where the smaller ones with no cord I have to take off my phone case.

Pretty simple product works very well- fast and no fuss with my new mac book pro. I wanted to say though that in the box is a thank you card from Unitek. Nothing fancy but it was still pretty nice to see. I get it its a bog company they toss it in the box but the simple fact that as a company they had the idea.- they aproved it- found someone to print it and made a policy to put it in the darn box.Simple right? Actually it isn’t I work for a big multi national and I know how this stuff works and I like that they did this because in 2018, I can’t remember the last time that a company did that and I dig it. I’ll keep an eye out and if I see something I need that they make I’ll buy it. Very nice touch Unitek nicely done
