After about a year of normal home kitchen use and looking after it by cleaning it the recommended way (wiping down after use and never submerging in water) as well as oiling it every couple of months, I noticed it starting to split at one of the lamination points.Quite disappointed given the investment and hoping that I would get at least a few years of “normal” use out of it.It was a joy to use and still is but now I’m worried that it will degrade even faster now that water/moister can enter and stay in that little crack.

Quite well made. One side looks better than the other. Looks beautiful. I routed a hand hold at one end to hang the board when not in use. Note the tomato sauce stains in the wood. I treated the board with butcher block conditioner and the wood looks way better.

I purchased this beautiful teak cutting board to be able to make a counter extension for our small trailer, one that we could drop down when not in use. This board is a quality board. I used a 50/50 mix of Tung oil and Citrus Solvent to seal it and purchased some high quality sturdy mounting brackets to attached it to the cabinet in our small trailer. It is just perfect! I now can have a full 38" in length of solid work space in our small travel trailer. WooHoo! Highly, highly recommend this quality board!!
