The back housing was warped and did not fit properly.
The product I received was warped and did not fit the psp 1001 properly. I had to put the original back housing on. However, I did use the blue face plate as well as the new buttons.

Terribly designed, poor fit.
2 stars because the PSP is mostly in a usable condition.The product itself is terrible. Several screws no longer fit (tried both the screws they provide as well as that from the previous shell). Several parts of plastic needed to be ripped out for parts to fit (nearby broke the memory card board due to it not fitting). Battery goes off an on (needed to pry out some plastic for it to fit). The bottom left does not stay flush, even after screwing what I can tightly, resulting in the joystick not working. One side of the UMD door does not close all the way. Needed to tape the bottom together tightly with electrical tape to be able to use the joystick.

Terrible fit
Terrible fit. Screws misaligned. D-pad and loose with poor response. I don’t recommend buying anything from here or shipped from China.
