I've been looking for one of these for a long time. My mother-in-law has one and I love using it when we are at her house. When I found this one I figured I'd give it a try. It does work, you just have to use common sense and know how to cook.Does it prevent the initial boil over: YesThis allows you to do other things in the kitchen and have your eyes off the pot and not hear the dreadful sound of boiling water spilling over hitting the hot stove.Will it prevent continuous boil overs: NoAs I said you have to know to turn down the buner. That is just common sense and cooking 101.This is a handy kitchen tool for cooking pasta, potatoes ect.

Lid did what is expected, kept my rice pot from boiling over. The large lid does hit my pot handle causing a raised edge that can lead to a small boil over area. It's easy to hand clean and large enough for any pot.

I like the fact that if you keep the heat low enough it will not boil over. It is not very easy to clean and it is difficult to get ahold of. The tiny little handle on top is not big enough to safely lift the item off of boiling food items. If you try to help it by picking up an edge it will burn your fingers. Would not buy this again.

It arrived timely and in great shape. It covers a pan very well. If left unattended (which is when boil overs occur) and the pot boils over it only keeps some of the liquid contained. Some boils up under the lid and onto the stove. The liquid that boils into the lid has also run over the top of the lid and onto the stove. In short it slows down the amount that boils over but it does not completely stop it nor prevent all of the mess.

I love this so much, that I have ordered one for every woman in the family. Pots absolutely do not boil over with this lid.

I was eager to try this out--until I wanted to see if some potatoes I was boiling had cooked enough. Lifting this cover is LETHAL; the steam badly burned my hand--more than lifting a pan lid because of the shape and holes within it.

I adore this lid! It has kept me from having to take my stovetop apart repeatedly to clean boiled over messes!! I love that it has the little lid you can put over it, too. You get things simmering and pop that little lid on top of the big lid. It works really well with pasta, potatoes, milk, etc. I wish I had had this years ago!

This is a multi tool my family loves this no more boil over mess.

Es kam was erwartet wurde, allerdings ist die Verarbeitung sehr billig. Wirkt nach billigster „China Produktion“ mit Silikon Überresten vom Stanzen etc. Auch war das Produkt sehr dreckig. Werde es erstmal von Silikonresten, Staub und Haaren befreien, abwaschen und mal sehen ob es seine Funktion erfüllt.Dafür etwas teuer, aber immerhin billiger als die Markenprodukte.
