I got these to use as Christmas/holiday lights for the parking lot of our business. Easy to use - only tricky part is figuring out the best place to put the solar panels. You need them to get as much sun (or at least light) for as long as possible. All day, if you can find the right place to put the panels! Where i originally put them it was only getting sun for a few hours. I finally figured out that I could attach the panels to the top branches of a small tree. Once i did that, that strings lit up nicely.With a full day containing a good amount of sun, these lights stay on almost until dawn. How long they stay on will vary depending on how much sun & light they receive.Recently we've had a lot of overcast days with lots of rain and no sun. Some of my other solar lights did not turn on at all, or only worked for a couple hours. But these 2 sets of solar string lights turned on for 4 hours or more before dimming. That's pretty good for several consecutive totally sunless days.I will say they are not as bright as I would prefer. But you cant expect these lower cost solar lights to be as bright as electric lights. Maybe the higher end ones are better, I dont know. Still, these are bright enough you can see them easily from across the street maybe 50 feet away!The cool white color is very pretty and works well for the winter holidays. They give off a bit of a blue-ish white color. I like the fact that these have multiple different modes to choose from. That's a lot better than just steady or flashing.If you live in a region that gets very little sunlight throughout the winter, dont expect too much from these solar lights. Maybe 4 or 5 hours per night. You might be better off with electric or battery lights. Or maybe there are some more expensive solar lights that will work even with very little sun.But for us, these lights work nicely and i'll no doubt use them throughout the year just to give our property a bit of an elegant touch!

I purchased these for Christmas because I did not want to run extension cords all through my yard especially since I live in Florida and we get a lot of rain. They looked amazing and I was surprised on how long they were. Also now that Christmas is over my fiance had the idea to put them in the mulch and just run them on the ground and it looks great. I love how they are solar and I don't have to pay for electric.

I put the lights on the Christmas tree in the cemetery. They’re a little longer than I wanted them to be but I just use the extra lights elsewhere but they’re very bright very pretty.

I only wish they burned all night. By about midnight, the power started to fade. Other than, they were a beautiful display that also didn't add a penny to our power bill!

Very pretty and bright. good quality, Love that the solar saves on the electricity.

My only complaint would be that like all solar powered products, if you get a run of cloudy, rainy day, which happenes a lot in December, the lights don't work. But, other than that they were great.

These are great and working as expected.

I was so excited right out of the box they were bright and worked great. However, Michigan gets one sunny day a week at this time of the year so, the lights are either to dim to see at the street or they didn't get enough charging during the day to work, except once or twice a week. So if you live in the south, go for it, but if the sun disappears in the winter like in Michigan, pass.
