I bought these shorts to wear under dresses and I’m obsessed. The darker tan is neutral enough for my skin tone to go under even semi-sheer fabric and not show through. The pockets are perfect for those dresses that don’t have pockets. I’m 5’4” and the length was great for even shorter dresses not to peek out of but still feel confident about not accidentally flashing anyone. The fabric feels sturdy, comfortable, and would be perfect for working out. I didn’t wear any tight dresses, and due to the pockets, won’t be totally flat or act as shape wear, but perfect for a flowy or a line dress or skirt to provide a bit of modesty, comfort, and convenience with pockets!

I bought these because I have several pairs of longer Joyspels shorts which I absolutely love, so I wanted to try the new shorter style. I love these shorts, they are great value and compare well to much more expensive alternatives. I measured the inside leg and it's 3 inches. The fabric feels the same as the longer shorts, it's soft, 100% opaque (squat-test passed!), and easy to move in. The level of tightness is more firm than yoga-wear, but less tight than compression-wear, if that makes sense. It's supportive fabric but not tight. I've washed previous Joyspels shorts many, many times and so far they appear indestructible.I will be using these shorts in the gym, and for stretching. For cycling and running, I'll probably continue to use the longer ones (for modesty!), but if you like shorter lengths (or want to extend your tan...) these would work well. I tried these out in a cardio session last night and I was impressed that they stayed put and didn't need adjusting.The shorts come in the same plastic zipper bag like other Joyspels products, which I save for travel packing. There are pockets on both legs, and my phone fits in both. There's no waistband pocket on this model.

The material is good quality, feels comfortable wearing and the side pockets is a great feature. Good value for money.

Bought navy they are soft and the pockets are useful. They aren’t sheer and last long time. I wore these everyday when training for a marathon

I've now bought multiple pairs of these shorts and really rate them.Perfect length for exercise, flattering fit and most importantly they stay put - no riding up or down during exercise! Size as expected and comfy, nice and stretchy for a good fit. I wear a size 8-10 normally, 5'3' and the S is perfect.I wear them for running, HIIT, strength training, climbing, and paddle boarding. Squat proof and great all round active shorts - the phone pocket is super handy and a good size for my pixel 4a.

Really impressed, the material is sturdy and thick but is still comfortable and they are a decent length. Love that they have pockets as well.
