It was a bit spendy, BUT it seems to be very well made. Heavy stainless steel but not REAL heavy. The lid has a pretty good seal and won't leak if it's full and gets knocked over - nevermind how I know that. It Seals so well that the manufacturer had to install a spring pressure valve on the lid. So filling a glass from it takes 2 hands. One to hold the glass, one to operate the spring valve. The little fill valve is a bit light duty, but so far, I see no evidence of it leaking in the fridge.

The product quality here is worse than cheap. Whoever designed this didn't seem to understand how to engineer an air vent. The lid has a pressure release intended to allow air exchange from inside to outside. But it essentially attaches to nothing and just sits in the hole in the lid with a wholly inadequate plastic washer to hold it in place. The spring slides over the cylinder, and that assembly is run through a hole in the top of the lid where, on the opposite side of the lid, the plastic washer is slid over the end of the cylinder. The fit is incredibly loose, sloppy and guaranteed to come off. Any vibration, motion or jarring pops it loose and you will be lucky if you realize if fell off and don't end up drinking the washer. I almost did but fortunately caught it in time.If you remove it, you have a hole in the lid which is not ideal either. Unfortunately this is just another cheap, nickel and dime scam too cheap to justify bothering to return it.

It looks like a solid container but there is no spigot.
