Q: Does the hoodie feel like a cotton sweatshirt or is the outer layer that odd silky polyester material?

It feels like a cotton sweatshirt.

Q: Does the Sherpa lining inside shed? If so, what can you do to stop it from shedding onto your shirts?

It does not shed, I've washed and dried it and have not had shedding - however, with frequent washing the lining loses its fluffiness and becomes matted looking, but that's to expected though, and that happens with any brand for any price.

Q: Why aren't the arms lined with the "sherpa"???

Mine were lined. I loved this until the zipper broke. Looking at reviews it shows I wasn’t the only one with this problem.
