I've been a Patchouli fan for many decades. I find its earthy aroma calming. I like to use a bit on my wrists to lighten my days. A bit in my mister is always pleasant. We all perceive scents differently and this s the one for me. I've purchased this brand before, and I will again. It's my favorite.

I discovered the essence of Patchouli way back in the late 1960's. Loved the scent then and still do. I've tried many different versions and this one is a winner. If you want to smell like you've been working in a potting shed all day, just dab some of this oil behind each ear and on the back of the neck and wait for the magic to begin! Some people will like it and some won't but the fun part about wearing this most unusual oil is you can make up all kinds of explanations as to what the smell is! Have fun and smell 'good' at the same time - what could be better.

I make sure that I do not run out, as it is one of the EO's that I use for Aromatherapy, hand lotions and facial products that I make.I really love the NOW brand essential oils. 97% of the time that is the brand I purchase because when I try other brands, they are either diluted down, stink or are not what they should be. I know with NOW brand I am getting great quality essential oils. I find that purchasing them through WOOHOO Natural on Amazon always gets me the best price with fast safe shipping of the oils. I actually have recommended the NOW brand on Amazon to a couple of my friends who are starting to use them for aromatherapy.Good essential oils are not cheap by any means. If you are paying very little for all that you get with other brands, you are more than likely not getting a real pure essential oil. It will either be very diluted, rank/ putrid smelling or not even an essential oil. NOW brand is Not overpriced like other brands for the same high quality of essential oils and they are quality tested and a very trusted brand.I personally use Essential oils for aromatherapy, in my Epsom salt bath mix, homemade hand lotions & scrubs & facial products. If you are just getting into aromatherapy, NOW brand is the best choice so that you know exactly what a quality product should feel like & Smell like while not costing you an arm and a leg.

This oil is very concentrated! I use it to keep ticks and mosquitoes off when I’m working outside. I don’t like bug spray. It’s very concentrated so it only takes a couple small drops mixed with lotion or body oil. Well worth the price!

It may only be me but sometimes SOME patchouli oils seem to have a scent (I'd say hint but a lot of times its powerful) of iron in them. Others can be rather sweet smelling. I am not referring to scent mixtures but what are supposed to be pure essential oils. This brand has neither of those and has a rather pleasant earthy scent. Not as clean as the old school scents of years past but still OK. It has pretty decent staying power which is nice because I tend to have a rather warm body temp and scents fade on me rather quickly. I much prefer how it lingers ever so lightly but certainly detectable in my clothing.*TIP: I had a hard time opening the bottle and when I called the help line they told me to submerge halfway, upside down in hot water for a few seconds to loosen the top and it worked.

I have tried many Patchouli products, oils, colognes, incenses, soaps..etc. For my personal tastes, I cannot recommend Now Patchouli Oil enough! I use as a beard oil directly from the bottle (although not recommended by manufacturer), I have seen no problems in the many years I have used it. A few drops warmed in the hands, rubbed through the beard and combed in with a boar brush, gives a great shine. I get constant compliments from true Patchouli fans, and jeers from those that are used to diluted Patchouli products. This oil also mixes well with other products and creates a nice subtle Patchouli scent to my shampoo and lotion. This product is by far the purest Patchouli smell, for the best value.
