I bought this for my husband who has been bugging me forever to buy a bread knife. The item arrived damaged. It came in a plastic package that looked like it had been dropped face down and "skateboarded" on a concrete floor, like someone had stepped on it and slipped. Part of the plastic package was torn away and the handle finish was marred, so the packer had to know it was damaged and shipped it anyway. Besides the finish, the knife itself was otherwise undamaged. None of this is the fault of the manufacturer of course. I don't plan to return it, because it slices really well and my husband says "it's awesome, I love it", and doesn't care about the finish. I give the product five stars with a star deducted for the laziness of the person who boxed it up. Probably under pressure to make a quota, but even so . . .

Very disappointed. I guess you get what you pay for. The knife is so dull you can hit the blade against your hand with no problem. I have another bread knife and it is extremely sharp, so I expected this one to be extra sharp as well. The scalloped edge is rounded, and if it is not sharp and rounded how is it supposed to grip and cut through anything? The handle is hollow which makes the blade heavier than the handle. Very unbalanced. It doesn't cut through any crust (especially homemade sourdough) and even trying to slice sponge cake rounds, it made a mess. Now it is in my gardening tool box, maybe it will of use in there.

I bake bread every week, and this knife is exactly what I needed to cut my beautiful loaves cleanly, evenly, and easily. It is simply the perfect bread knife, a good weight in the hand, lovely to look at, easy to clean. The design features a single flowing line of metal, no wood to catch water and harbor bacteria. I love this knife.

Works well, easy to clean. Not nearly as long as other bread knives so easy to handle and store.

I bought two of these bread knives for gifts. I have not used them, but they came securely packaged and look like chef-grade knives. A great value for the price!
