Today Gourmet Foods of NC - Halibut Fillets - Alaskan Wild Caught 12-6/7oz Portions (5lb Pkg)

Halibut is hard to find where I live, especially in certain seasons. I have been ordering these through this company for a few years now. The halibut is excellent. My only complaint is that every once in a while, the "vacuum sealed" packaging of one of the individual halibuts will be not fully sealed. Given that halibut is expensive as all get out in general, that can be annoying. But, I don't know that would be any different with any other company shipping halibut by mail. I will continue to use this one.

Oh my gosh I am not a fishy eaterI ordered it and simply unthaw one fillet put it in a pan with butter fried it till it was golden Brown added a tiny bit of garlic salt and it is freaking amazingI will be ordering a lot more in the future and I loved the handwritten note that came in the boxsuper classso convenient so awesome

Even though I called and complained about the packaging...This has to be some of the best fish I've ever ordered online. The product is marvelous

Delivery was very quick. Halibut was individually packaged and frozen. Fish tasted very good.

The packaging is perfect. The fish was on my porch for hours and still frozen when I arrived home. Wild Halibut is healthy and tasty. The local prices in my area are $30-$35 a pound and you still have to remove the skin, but not with these fillets. They must be packed fresh, because it cooks up so moist. I pan sear two pieces at a time. Not to mention, I am losing weight eating it.
