Works great. Charges my radio just fine.

The product does not work as it puts out so much interference because this product is not shielded and puts a lot of interference back into the radio. Below is my original email to the company.My name is Jerry La Pere and my Amazon order number is. I ordered an ac/dc power adapter for my Grundig G8 Traveler II digital radio last week. The adapter is faulty in that my radio works fine with the 3 AA batteries in place. When I plug in the adapter into the radio, whether the batteries are installed or not, I get tremendous static from the speaker making the radio unusable. I do not have this issue with any other adapter that I use in my household. When I ordered this adapter from Amazon, the product description for this power adapter stated that this power supply was the correct one to use for my radio. So the power adapter is useless. This product blew up my radio and could easily have taken off a hand or BLINDED someone.I ordered an adaptor for my Grundig FR200 from T POWER. The adaptor was advertised to be a match for the model number of my radio. It arrived with a universal type adaptor and an adaptor pin for the adaptor. In other words, it was NOT designed for my radio. The pin didn't fit properly in the radio; I emailed the company, and they said they'd send "the proper adaptor," but they simply sent another mini adaptor pin. Also didn't fit. Emailed again, and they sent an entire bag of pins, stating that I should try them all and find the one that fit best.I removed the AA batteries from the radio (however, the original permanently rechargeable battery pack obviously stayed inside the battery compartment) and tried the pins. Couldn't find a "real" fit, but I went with the one that was closest.About 3 minutes later, MY ENTIRE RADIO EXPLODED. I was sitting 4 feet away and was covered in soot. The soot permeated my entire hallway and kitchen and got inside the original ivory keys of my 111 year old Steinway piano and inside the keys of my laptop. It took hours and lots of cleaning materials to clean it all up (I will never get the soot out of my piano or my laptop), and my entire downstairs of my house was filled with chemical burning odors. But most importantly, had I been closer or, God forbid, HOLDING THE RADIO IN MY HANDS, I would have suffered permanent maiming. it sounded like several handguns going off at once. Of course, the pictures cannot do justice to the mess and danger, but I have provided them anyway.I called and emailed the company over and over again for several months, and all I can get from them is a reply offering yet another adaptor for a radio that doesn't exist anymore.

It's hard to get excited about an external power supply/adapter, but this one seems to work fine. The 12v jack on the Grundig G8 is a non-standard size. This adapter fits perfectly, so I recommend it for anyone purchasing a G8 who doesn't want to be limited to battery power. My only complaint is that it has an LED on its body which is WAY too bright. So many power adapters seem to work just fine with no LED to show you that they're plugged in -- not sure why this one is necessary. That said, design and build quality seem a tad better than the industry standard. 3.5 stars, rounded up.

Exactly what I wanted !!

High quality product and high quality customer service as well. The pin that came with the unit did not fit my Grundig radio. Once the seller knew this, they sent 2 other pins, one of which was a perfect fit. Of course I am happy and the company deserves a pat on the back for sure.

This works to power the fr200 radio, but I wouldn't leave it alone charging for a long period of time. I used for a couple of hours and the charger does make the battery pack pretty hot. It also charges the internal battery which is nice. The manual for the radio does state that if using a charger like this (rated higher output than specs call for) to limit time of charging.

This was bought to replace a lost adapter. I want everything to be charged in case of an emergency situation

This hard to find adaptor works perfectly with my Eton radio.
